Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban split after 19 years of marriage
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have officially separated, sources confirmed. The Oscar-winning actress, 58, and the Grammy-winning country star, 57, have ended their marriage after 19 years together.
According to a source close to the family, “Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.” The insider adds, “She [Nicole] didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
Several sources indicated that it was Urban who made the decision to end the relationship. Sources described the divorce as “one-sided” and not the outcome Kidman had hoped for. Urban is said to have moved out of their shared home and into his own residence in Nashville. Meanwhile, Kidman has remained with their daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, 14, doing her best to hold the family together amid the emotional fallout.

Despite the reported separation, Kidman appeared to publicly honor their relationship just months ago. On June 25, she shared a heartfelt anniversary post on Instagram featuring a photo of herself cuddling Urban, captioned, “Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s marriage faced struggles and triumphs
The exact reason behind Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s split remains unclear. Throughout their nearly 20-year marriage, the couple wo both grew up in Australia, experienced their fair share of highs and lows. At the height of their relationship, both stars earned top accolades in their respective fields, consistently showing up to support one another at award shows, red carpets, and premieres.

But their journey wasn’t without struggles. Just months after their 2006 wedding, Urban entered rehab for drug and alcohol addiction. Both he and Kidman have spoken openly about how his battle with addiction ultimately strengthened their relationship. In fact, it was Kidman and several close friends who staged the intervention that Urban later credited with turning his life around.
“Everything was just designed, I believe, for that moment to fuse us together,” Urban said during a 2010 interview on 'The Oprah Winfrey Show.' “I look back now and realize Nic has taught me so much and brought so much into my life and opened my eyes in so many ways. This is the best place I’ve ever been.”
Despite recent reports of their separation, the pair continued to appear in public together as recently as this past summer. In June, they were spotted attending a FIFA Club World Cup match in Nashville, Tennessee. Just a month earlier, they were photographed looking affectionate, kissing and holding hands, at the Academy of Country Music Awards, where Urban received the prestigious ACM Triple Crown Award.
