Country artist Mae Estes responds to viral video claiming she's Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman's daughter

LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Sometimes the stories people make up online in the hopes that people would believe them are hilarious. In a recent viral TikTok video, an individual claimed Mae Estes was the daughter of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

Soon after, the 'Hell You Raised', who was taken aback by the claim, responded to the video, calling it fake and nonsense. 

Estes shared her response video on Instagram with the caption: "Tik Tok and its nonsense live to see another day 🫡 if it makes y’all check out my music tho, carry on hahah #maeestes #nicolekidman #keithurban #fakenews."

There have been a lot of crazy conspiracy theories so far in 2025, beginning with the idea that Zach Top is the son of Alan Jackson, though such a theory didn't have a lot of backing. Such a claim is certainly incorrect because Jackson was performing in the state of Washington at the time that Top was conceived, as per Whiskey Riff.

In the viral video about Estes being Kidman and Urban's daughter, the TikTok user merged snippets of an interview from an episode of the 'BFFs Podcast' with Urban and Kidman discussing an artist.

The clip also included a segment of Este's appearance on the 'TL's Road House' podcast, where she discussed how her father's taste influenced her songwriting.

The misleading video has garnered more than 15,000 likes and half a million views. Fortunately, many viewers quickly pointed out the absurdity of the claim. 

Urban and Kidman, who tied the knot in 2006, share two daughters, Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 13. Moreover, Urban and Kidman's Australian accents are not exactly the same as that of Arkansas, where the 'Roses' crooner hails from.

Fans of Mae Estes, Keith Urban, and Nicole Kidman were quick to point out how absurd it is that some people are genuinely falling for the baseless rumor.

One commented, "Whaaaaaat did I just see?! We need to see your mom and dad’s reaction," and another said, "This has me CRACKING UP!"

"This cannot be real life," a person expressed, with one more writing,  "Some of these TikTok videos they put together are nuts!!!"

One on Instagram wrote, "Keith and Nicole are not her parents." "Omg! Hilarious," exclaimed one.
