Kelli Giddish reveals Taylor Swift’s sweet gift for 'Law & Order: SVU' cast during Emmys skit
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taylor Swift brought more than a cameo to the set of 'Law & Order: SVU' while filming the pre-taped skit that aired during the Monday, September 14 Emmy Awards.
According to Kelli Giddish, Swift arrived with homemade cookies for the cast and also agreed to fulfil Giddish’s request to include her cat, Olivia Benson, in the parody. The appearance featured Swift alongside Mariska Hargitay, Ice-T, Peter Scanavino and Aime Donna Kelly.

Kelli Giddish reveals Taylor Swift’s sweet gesture on the SVU set
"She's totally sweet, down to earth, a beautiful spirit—and made really good cookies,” Giddish told Women In Entertainment in a September 15 interview. She explained that the cookies were sourdough, brown butter and chocolate chip.
She further added that she is “kind of a cookie snob” and was “really pleased” with Swift’s homemade treat. The actress was also excited when she learned the 36-year-old singer would be making a cameo and had one request for the appearance.
“We were so happy to host her,” Giddish shared and added, “Mariska told me about it, and I was like, ‘Can she be holding her cat?”
Swift’s beloved feline Olivia Benson, who was named after Hargitay’s character on the police drama, ultimately appeared in the parody alongside SVU co-stars. The skit centred on Benson and the Special Victims Unit trying to determine whether she would attend the 2026 Emmys.
“The Emmys are tonight and the mayor's office is breathing down my neck demanding an answer to the big question will Taylor Swift be at the Emmys?” Hargitay said. She added that to crack a “Swiftie case, they needed to think like Swifties because they believe everything is a clue to what Swift will do next."
Swift then appeared as an NYPD rookie. “Guys, this isn't adding up,” she said, before adding that the “perp has a clear MO” and that “everything” was not necessarily a clue. She later delivered an Easter egg while speaking cryptically to the camera, “Saccharide Aries from the vineyard—north or south.”
Taylor Swift chose Travis Kelce’s Chiefs game over Emmys
Swift ultimately did not attend the Emmys, instead cheering on her husband Travis Kelce at his first Kansas City Chiefs game of the NFL season. Two months after their wedding at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, she attended the Chiefs’ September 14 game against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri.
For the game, Swift wore a red top and displayed her new haircut while chatting with Tom Cruise from a VIP suite in footage circulating on social media. She also wore her wedding band, although neither she nor Kelce have publicly shared photos from their July 3 wedding or many details about the ceremony.
Some of the couple’s 1,000 guests have spoken about the lavish celebration.
Sports commentator Joe Buck described Kelce as “a puddle” when he saw Swift walk down the aisle in her custom Christian Dior wedding dress. He also said their vows were long, well-written, funny, sweet and emotional.
Meanwhile, Pat McAfee called the wedding the “greatest night of all time” and said the couple “absolutely showcased that they are in love.” He described the event as the football world coming together with Hollywood and Nashville and called it “the most spectacular, grand thing” he had ever seen.
