Kevin Spacey reveals he is homeless and living in hotels: 'I’m going where the work is'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actor Kevin Spacey recently revealed that he is currently homeless and is living in hotels after a tough few years of endless legal battles.
The Oscar-winning actor admitted his finances are currently "not great", and confessed he’s currently "living in Airbnbs and hotels". It is a stark contrast to the glamorous lifestyle he once had.
Kevin Spacey says 'I literally have no home'
During an interview with The Telegraph published on Wednesday, November 19, Kevin Spacey said, "I’m living in hotels, I’m living in Airbnbs, I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain."
"The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out," the actor added.
He also mentioned, "You get through it. In weird ways, I feel I’m back to where I first started, which is, I just went where the work was. Everything is in storage, and I hope at some point, if things continue to improve, that I’ll be able to decide where I want to settle down again."
As per the Telegraph, the actor performed at a resort in Limassol, Cyprus, this week, as he tries to move forward.
Kevin Spacey recalls process of selling his Baltimore hom
Amid the release of the 2024 documentary 'Spacey Unmasked', the 66-year-old actor again denied wrongdoing in the multiple claims against him. He said he could no longer "allow [himself] to be baselessly attacked" without defending himself.
In May 2024, he told former UK journalist Dan Wootton, "I take full responsibility for my past behavior and my actions, but I cannot and will not take responsibility or apologize to anyone who’s made up stuff about me or exaggerated stories about me."
Spacey received a lifetime achievement award at an event in Cannes, France, in May, during which he called the past several years "challenging".
Moreover, during an interview with Piers Morgan, Spacey broke down as he recalled how he was in the process of selling his Baltimore home.
"It’s funny you ask that question because this week, where I have been living in Baltimore, is being foreclosed, my house is being sold at auction. So I have to go back to Baltimore and put all of my things in storage," the actor admitted.
He added, "So I’m not sure where I’m going to live now."
Morgan asked him why the house is being sold, and he answered honestly, "Because I can’t pay the bills that I owe."
Moreover, he confessed the amount owing was "considerable" and "many millions".
