Kim Kardashian gives rare insight into romance with Lewis Hamilton after years of healing
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian has opened up about taking time to heal after her high-profile divorce from Kanye West before beginning her romance with Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton.
In a new interview with The Times’ Style Magazine, she reflected on spending years single, focusing on her children and projects, and feeling no pressure to start dating again. Kardashian and Hamilton first sparked romance rumors in early February.

Kardashian said that following her 2021 split from West, she was largely single for five years, with the exception of her brief romance with comedian Pete Davidson. She described the break from dating as “great,” explaining that it allowed her to focus on her children and projects she genuinely wanted to be involved with.
“I really felt no rush,” she continued. “Like, I really didn’t feel empty. I felt like I needed my time.” 'The American Horror Story' actress said she wanted to “completely heal and just work on” herself after her volatile split from the 'Stronger' rapper.
The former couple shares four children: North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 7. Kardashian explained that she was not ready to open herself up to another relationship and was not actively thinking about dating.
“I wasn’t ready to open up,” she continued. “I really wasn’t even thinking about it. The universe works in your favour when you just allow it to.”
Her comments come after years of navigating the challenges of her divorce from West. In a September 2025 Vogue cover story, Kardashian recalled her mother, Kris Jenner, telling her that “the coming years [would be the best of [her] life].”
Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton keep romance largely private
The romance rumors surrounding Kardashian and Hamilton, who have known each other since 2014, intensified when they attended the Super Bowl together in Southern California in February. The couple watched the Seattle Seahawks defeat the New England Patriots at the event. After months of speculation, Kardashian made their relationship Instagram official in June.
Since making their relationship public, the pair have largely kept their romance under wraps, occasionally offering glimpses of their time together on social media. In July, Hamilton shared photographs of them displaying affection during a family getaway.
In the caption accompanying the pictures, he encouraged his followers to “hold your people close.” The following month, the Formula 1 driver posted intimate, previously unseen photographs from a date with Kardashian, captioning them, “Resting, restoring, recharging.”
Kardashian also shared a mirror selfie with Hamilton during a vacation. In the photograph, she wore a pink Gucci bikini while the racing driver affectionately wrapped his arms around her waist.
Meanwhile, Davidson, whom Kardashian dated for nine months in 2022, recently reflected on his experience dating someone from the famous family. In an interview with Variety last month, the 32-year-old comedian discussed the challenges of being in a relationship within the Kardashian family's high-profile environment.
“Look, man, that’s a really tough atmosphere if you’re not game,” Davidson said. However, he also expressed admiration for Kardashian and her family, adding, “One of the things I love about Kim and that whole family is they’re like, ‘This is what we do.'” He continued, “I found that very attractive and mature.”
