Kim Kardashian recalls seeing Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry at her home shortly after her death
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian recently revealed that she got the opportunity to see Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry pieces after the late actress’s death.
Taylor died at the age of 79 in 2011. Years later, the Hulu legal drama series ‘All’s Fair’ season two is paying homage to the late star through Kardashian’s character, Allura Grant, who wears Taylor’s jewelry and clothes.
In an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, October 28, the SKIMS founder revealed that she got to wear Taylor’s iconic Bulgari emerald and diamond necklace for a photoshoot in Rome.

“When she passed away, I was brought into her home [and] shown her safe with all of her jewelry before they cleared it out. So, I was able to see everything in her home and her jewelry still in her safe and all of her stuff still [there], her furniture,” she said to the Bulgari team.
“I was able to go in there like right after she passed. I know that sounds insane, but I was able to see this stuff in her purple closet,” Kardashian added.
The mother of four also disclosed that even before wearing the statement necklace, she “was lucky enough to have a phone conversation with her about this piece” with the late legend before Taylor died of congestive heart failure.

The social media video also shows the Bulgari team presenting Taylor’s jewelry to Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, before one of the team members puts the necklace on Kardashian.
Jenner asked her daughter, “How does it feel, Liz?”, to which Kardashian replied, “Wow. Law [Roach] really pulled some strings here,” referring to the stylist.
The media personality also had a FaceTime call with Roach, during which she said, “Look at this. You did it. I don’t know how you did this. But this is like the best birthday present ever… Now I can start my year with this Elizabeth energy.”
Kardashian captioned the video, “If these jewels could talk…@elizabethtaylor @bvlgari.”

However, this was not the first time the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star paid tribute to Taylor’s vintage style and iconic looks.
At the 2026 Academy Museum Gala on October 17, Kardashian was seen wearing an archival 1951 Balenciaga gown featuring a baby-pink satin sash across the neckline and a large bow at the back.
She completed her look with a vintage-inspired bouffant hairstyle, a pair of diamond earrings by Zydo, and the Carmen choker necklace from Leviev.
