Kim Kardashian stuns crowd in masked Maison Margiela ensemble at Academy Museum Gala

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian, known for making big fashion statements, closed off a hectic social week with a show-stopping, costume-inspired ensemble at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 18.

The reality TV star rocked a nude Maison Margiela long-sleeved evening gown that had a skin-clinging corset and sleeves knotted to the skirt hem, which created a dramatic bat-wing silhouette when she moved. The most unconventional aspect of the look, though, was a flesh-colored mask covering her face and hair entirely, providing an early Halloween-party vibe.

To complete the avant-garde look, the SKIMS founder added a dazzling diamond choker with enormous gems, together with a daring, claw-tipped nail finish and emerald rings.

Academy Museum Gala's star-studded guest list
A-list celebrities came out in numbers for the fifth annual Academy Museum Gala. Kim's half-sister, supermodel Kendall Jenner, also made a red carpet appearance, keeping much more subdued in a sleek, sleeveless black corseted dress and loose brunette locks that fell down her back.
Subsequently, Kendall was spotted with her BFF, Hailey Bieber, who also opted for a sizzling corseted dress. Interestingly enough, Kendall appeared to go out of her way not to be pictured with her older sister Kim on the red carpet.

Other celebrity guests who were seen walking the red carpet included Sydney Sweeney, Penelope Cruz, Zoe Kravitz, Jenna Ortega, George Clooney, and Emily Ratajkowski.
Kim Kardashian's week of back-to-back glamour
Kim Kardashian's masquerade ball night was only one of three high-profile events she attended back-to-back.

On the evening before the gala, the mother of four emerged to appear in solidarity with her youngest sister, Kylie Jenner, at the grand opening of a Kylie Cosmetics pop-up in West Hollywood.
To commemorate this event, Kim sported a totally fresh look: an embellished, baby pink latex dress featuring a plunge halter neckline. She completed the look with clear platform heels and dramatic chunky silver necklaces stacked high, adorned with giant cross pendants, along with back-grazing extensions and long nails.

Earlier in the week, Kim had also shown up at the Los Angeles premiere of her television show 'All's Fair' with co-stars Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, and Sarah Paulson, in a glamorous Schiaparelli Couture gown.
