The reality star, who shares North and three other children with ex-husband Kanye West, is now under fire for what critics call an "inappropriate" fashion choice for a child.

According to the photos released by Backgrid, Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West made a stylish splash during their weekend getaway to Rome.

The 12-year-old stepped out for dinner at the upscale Pierluigi restaurant, showcasing a bold look that drew plenty of attention.

North wore a black corset top paired with a pleated, lace-trimmed miniskirt, coordinated with her waist-length, ombre teal pigtails. She completed the look with $2,100 Vetements 5-inch platform boots, a $940 heart-shaped Vivienne Westwood purse, oversized glasses, and a swipe of dark mauve lip gloss with black eyeliner.

Kim, 44, complemented her daughter's dramatic look with a more elegant ensemble. She wore a sleek black silk slip dress with sheer lace panels and a matching lace bra peeking above the neckline.

She accessorized with a long chain necklace adorned with chunky cross pendants and strappy black sandals. Kim kept her hair styled in soft waves with a middle part and opted for a natural, minimal makeup look.
