LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: On the Thursday night, July 11, edition of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', guest host Kumail Nanjiani took a playful jab at former President Donald Trump, seizing the opportunity to humorously critique Trump’s movie career.

The comedian’s remarks came in response to Trump’s recent attack on actor George Clooney following an op-ed Clooney wrote urging President Joe Biden to reconsider his 2024 reelection bid.

In the op-ed, George Clooney had called for a new direction in US politics, which provoked a heated response from Donald Trump.

The former President fired back on Truth Social, stating, “Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television. Movies never really worked for him!!!”

Nanjiani quickly jumped into the fray, pointing out the irony of Trump’s critique by highlighting Clooney’s significant success in Hollywood. “You know who movies never worked out for? Donald Trump!” Nanjiani said.

“A man who somehow blew a one-second cameo in 'Home Alone 2'.”

Here, Nanjiani was referring to Trump’s brief, and largely forgettable, appearance in the 1992 film, which had long been a point of comedic reference.

But Kumail Nanjiani didn’t stop there. He took the opportunity to delve deeper into Trump’s film history, suggesting that the former President's failures on the big screen were even more significant than the brief cameo in 'Home Alone 2'.

“And that may not have been his worst big-screen moment,” Nanjiani said.

“Trump also shit the bed so badly in the 1994 'Little Rascals' movie in the role of Waldo’s dad that this is the first time you’re hearing of it,” Nanjiani said.

Nanjiani continued to lampoon Trump’s cinematic missteps by drawing a comparison between Trump and Clooney’s successes.

“That’s right. He killed the ‘Little Rascals’ franchise like it knew the details of his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein,” Nanjiani joked.

In a final, sharp quip, Nanjiani turned the spotlight on one of Trump’s biggest sore spots—his failed casino ventures.

“Of course, the big difference between George Clooney and Donald Trump is that George Clooney actually made money from a casino,” Nanjiani said
