Family says Twiggs back in Utah
Charlie Kirk was killed on September 10, 2025, during a TPUSA event at Utah Valley University. His assassination sent shockwaves through conservative political circles nationwide.
Police swiftly arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson shortly after the shooting, charging him with multiple felony counts, including aggravated murder.
As attention turned to Robinson’s inner circle, investigators revealed that he had been living with his transgender partner, Twiggs.
While Twiggs has not been charged with any crime, their sudden disappearance in the weeks following Robinson’s arrest fueled speculation and online conspiracy theories.

Now, a family member has confirmed that Twiggs is actually back in Utah.
According to a relative interviewed by NewsNation senior correspondent Brian Entin, Twiggs briefly moved out of state after the shooting but has since returned home and is currently living with their family in St George.
The family member said Twiggs is “cooperating” with law enforcement and had been under FBI protection during the initial phase of the investigation.
Texts between Tyler Robinson and Lance Twiggs
Authorities had released text messages exchanged between Robinson and Twiggs shortly after Kirk was killed. Investigators said those messages helped solidify Robinson as the suspect and played a significant role in building the case.
Robinson is accused of attempting to conceal evidence and silence witnesses in the aftermath of the shooting. Prosecutors allege that he asked a roommate to delete incriminating messages and pressured Twiggs to remain quiet and avoid speaking with the police.
Despite the scrutiny surrounding Twiggs, law enforcement has made it clear that they are not a suspect.
Twiggs' family says Robinson's 'the right guy'
When asked directly whether she believes Robinson is responsible for Kirk’s death, Twiggs’ relative was unequivocal.
“100%. They have the right guy,” she told Entin.
Robinson now faces seven felony counts, including aggravated murder, reckless discharge of a firearm causing bodily injury, obstruction of justice, witness tampering and committing a violent offense in the presence of a child.
Prosecutors allege Robinson hid the weapon used in the shooting, discarded his clothing, and attempted to manipulate those around him in the immediate aftermath.
