WASHINGTON, DC: According to RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump, Democrats face a significant challenge beyond President Joe Biden's unsteady debate performance, as she shifted the focus to the subsequent individual in the party's succession.

"Kamala Harris polls just about as bad, if not worse in a lot of cases, than Joe Biden. And so they have a huge problem on their hands," she mentioned this on 'Sunday Morning Futures'.

Lara Trump believes 'plugging in' another candidate would violate democratic process

Along with California Governor Gavin Newsom and former First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Kamala Harris is considered a potential successor to Biden if he were to withdraw from the party's nomination or if the 25th Amendment were invoked, as speculated by some.

Lara Trump informed Fox News' Maria Bartiromo that circumventing Harris to "plugging in" a different individual would be "literally going against the democratic process."

"Millions of Americans came out in those primaries and voted for Joe Biden to be their nominee on the Democrat side," she elaborated.

She added, "If they decide right here in the 11th hour to plug somebody else in, and it's not Kamala Harris, I can't think of a bigger assault to our democratic process than doing just that."

"But let's see what they do. Regardless if it's Joe Biden [or] Kamala Harris, Donald Trump's polls show us right now that the American people are behind him," Trump remarked.

Lara Trump criticizes Joe Biden for not leading the nation

On Sunday, June 30, Lara Trump asserted that the former president is outperforming in leading the nation, despite not holding office, and reiterated his criticism of Biden's mental fitness for another term.

Following the debate on June 27, some Democrats have expressed concerns, with a few suggesting that the president should make way for another notable party figure.

Nevertheless, the Biden campaign maintains that there are no intentions for Biden to resign, affirming his commitment to engage in the upcoming debate with Trump before the November elections.

"Donald Trump is the only leader who was on that stage. Donald Trump is the only way we get this country back, and I believe it doesn't matter if it's Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, or, quite frankly, anyone else they put in there," Lara Trump remarked.

She said, "We had four years of Donald Trump. We know how secure our borders were. We know how much more money people had in their pockets, how much cheaper it was to go buy gas, how much safer we felt on the world stage when Donald Trump was there, and people want him back in office."

Internet criticizes Lara Trump's statement about replacing Joe Biden

As soon as the news went viral on Facebook, social media users started reacting to it. One wrote, "It's too late to remove Biden.... He owns the electors."

Another user added, "She also knows that any other candidates other than Kamala and Biden could easily defeat Trump."

One commentator wrote criticizing Lara Trump, "What a ridiculous statement."

"The GOP needs to concern itself with Trump and his campaign and not the Dems," a person slammed.

A facebook user said, "I don’t vote for felons."
