PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Lara Trump earlier this week sparked mockery for claiming she received "beverage napkins" containing messages supporting her father-in-law, former president Donald Trump. She came up with proof to hit back at trolls.

Lara, the wife of Eric Trump, posted a picture of a napkin that contained a message from the wife of a "firefighter," thanking the Trump family. According to her Instagram post, she received the napkin at Detroit Metro Airport.

"Nothing better than getting these beautiful notes on airplanes 🇺🇸," she captioned it.

The message started with "#47," an apparent reference to the ex-president's next White House term.

Then followed a short note filled with visible mistakes that the internet users successfully pointed out.

"I want to thank you and your family for all you do for us," it read. "As a middle-class housewife married to a career firfighter, I want you to know you are appreciated. Thank you we are lucky to have you."

First, the unknown "middle-class housewife" misspelled her husband's profession writing "firfighter" instead of "firefighter."

The letter 'y' was written in at least three different styles, and thirdly, the letter was unsigned, making one doubt its authenticity. It is highly unlikely an admirer would leave the message to a prominent Trump family member without signing it.

Lara, however, did not mention the trolling she faced for claiming she received messages on napkins in a recent interview while showing off the proof on social media.

In an interview with Fox News' Laura Ingraham on Tuesday, October 8, the RNC co-chair first asserted how she received pro-Trump messages on airplanes while slamming a recent New York Times Siena poll favoring Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to the poll, Harris held a slight lead over former president Trump as the candidate representing "change."

Deeming the polls "absolutely ridiculous," Lara claimed, "I get slipped beverage napkins every time I get on an airplane saying, 'We can't wait to vote for Trump,' 'Go Trump,' 'Trump 2024.' Or people just coming up to me these days, Laura, everywhere I go, saying how excited they are to get out and vote."

Internet mocks Lara Trump

Netizens immediately jumped in, finding mistakes in the napkin message, causing it to backfire against Lara. They mocked the Trump daughter-in-law, implying it might be fake.

"You can tell a trump wrote this. They can’t even spell firefighter," a user wrote.

"Eric forgot to sign the letter," another quipped.

"And it’s even unsigned," a third user added.

"Too much detail dummy. keep it simple without transparently pretending that came from middle class/firefighter. then we might be fooled," read a fourth response.

"How many different ways is she going to write the letter Y?" an individual wondered.

"They love her so much they didn’t sign the note," someone else joked.

"What is a “firfighter” and a “howewife”…..just sayin’ you really can’t make this stuff up," another user added.

"Does a firfighter cut down Christmas trees? Lara can't sing and can't spell. Perfect for the job," read one remark.

"The letters smoothly crossing the crease of the napkins..."  a person chimed in.

"My god, you are shameless 3 days ago you say you’re getting slipped notes on airplane napkins, and then, Lo and behold, today here we have one. It’s a miracle Eric’s handwriting is improving, but he still needs to work on his spelling Sad," one user added.
