LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lara Trump, the co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), drew criticism on Tuesday, October 8, for her skepticism toward a recent poll indicating that Democratic nominee Kamala Harris is increasingly being seen as the “change candidate” in the 2024 presidential election.

During an interview with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, Lara Trump asserted, “No one buys that Kamala Harris has the capability” to be president. She further remarked, “And polls like that, I think, are absolutely ridiculous.”

Lara Trump's argument took an unexpected turn when she told Laura Ingraham, “I get slipped beverage napkins every time I get on an airplane saying, ‘We can’t wait to vote for Trump,’ ‘Go Trump,’ ‘Trump 2024.’ Or people just coming up to me these days, Laura, everywhere I go, saying how excited they are to get out and vote.”

The RNC co-chair's statement comes in response to a poll conducted by The New York Times and Siena College, which revealed that 46% of respondents viewed Harris as the candidate representing change, compared to 44% for former president Donald Trump.

The poll also indicated that 2% felt both candidates represented change, while 4% said neither.

“Well, I don’t believe that poll at all. And by the way, don’t take my word for it, take Joe Biden’s word for it because he’s the one that told us the other day, Laura, that Kamala Harris is in there side-by-side with him making all the decisions, of course, that we’ve seen in that White House,” Lara Trump added during the interview.

She emphasized that “no one believes that there will be any sort of change with Kamala Harris.”

Additionally, Lara mentioned the size of the crowd at a recent Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, calling it “the biggest crowd [she’s] ever seen at a Trump rally.”

She also questioned Harris’s ability to serve as “commander in chief,” reiterating, “No one buys that Kamala Harris has the capability to do that job. And polls like that, I think, are absolutely ridiculous.”

Lara Trump mocked for her 'beverage napkins' claims

Social media users brutally mocked Lara Trump's unusual justification for dismissing a poll that favored Kamala Harris and for her claims about receiving "beverage napkins" on planes.

One user wrote, "Well it's over guys. Lara is receiving napkins."

Another user replied, "What man on TrumpForce One? Donald?"

Another said, "That’s toilet paper, ma’am…"

One person added, "On Trumps plane he has paper napkins printed with the text “Vote Trump” and now they can be yours for just the insane low price of $199.99."

Another user replied, "Trump would sell used toilet paper to his cult followers and they would pay extra for papaya flavored."

One person asked, "A commercial flight? She's never been on a commercial flight in her life!" while another questioned, "How many commercial flights is she even on?"

One individual wrote, "Lara Trump? The hideous Lara Trump with vocals that even auto-tune can't fix?" while another added, "Oh yeah, you’re famous…..Everybody knows you…..that’s what is ridiculous LARA t."
