LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Laura Ingraham, the Fox News host known for her staunch defense of former president Donald Trump, has made bold predictions about Tuesday’s presidential debate.

Ingraham, who has previously offered unsolicited debate advice to Trump, now contends that Vice President Kamala Harris will be the one propagating falsehoods during the face-off, not Trump.

Ingraham accuses Harris of fabricating Trump’s record on Jan 6 and Charlottesville

Laura Ingraham’s Monday remarks were a continuation of her critique of Harris, whom she had previously disparaged for something as benign as a hug. According to Ingraham, Harris will be responsible for a series of inaccuracies during the debate.

“She’s going to lie that Trump encouraged violence on January 6, when he said, in fact, ‘Go in peace,’” Ingraham stated. This comment referred to Trump’s video message released several hours after the Capitol riot had started.

Ingraham continued, accusing Harris of misrepresenting Trump’s stance on Charlottesville and his comments about veterans, despite numerous fact-checks. “She’s going to lie about Charlottesville and what he said about veterans, despite repeated fact checks,” Ingraham said.

Trump had stated that there were “very fine people on both sides” of the white supremacist rally and counter-protest at the University of Virginia in 2017.

The following year, The Atlantic reported that Trump had called American war casualties “losers” and “suckers,” based on accounts from several individuals with firsthand knowledge of his remarks.

Laura Ingraham asserts Harris will misrepresent Trump’s legal issues and economic record

Furthermore, Ingraham predicted Harris would falsely claim that the legal challenges against Trump are fair and indicative of his untrustworthiness, suggesting that these cases would not have arisen if Trump had retired from politics.

“She’s going to lie about how the illegal cases against Donald Trump are fair, and they show that he’s untrustworthy, when we know that they never would have gone after him if he had retired from politics,” Ingraham claimed.

Trump, who has been convicted of felonies, with sentencing postponed until after the election, remains under indictment in three other jurisdictions and has multi-million dollar judgments for civil fraud and defamation on appeal.

Ingraham’s criticisms didn’t stop there. She alleged Harris would lie about her economic record, attributing job creation to the pandemic recovery and foreign workers, and falsely assert that Trump’s policies would increase inflation despite his record on lowering energy costs.

“Harris is going to lie, of course, about her record on the economy and claim that she has created all these jobs, when most of course are bounce-back jobs from COVID or of course they went to foreign workers,’” Ingraham continued.

“And she is going to lie that Trump’s policies will cause more inflation, when we know that he’s going to bring down the cost of energy, which will bring down inflation.”

Ingraham predicts Harris will distort facts on crime, immigration, and her own reform credentials

Laura Ingraham also claimed Harris would misrepresent her stance on crime and immigration.

“She’s going to lie that she’s tough on crime, when we know that the migrant crime explosion is destroying our neighborhoods. She will lie that the immigration bill that was engineered by Schumer and Jim Lankford would have fixed the border crisis and that Trump killed it for political reasons,” Ingraham said. This comment comes despite Lankford’s own statements to Fox News in April.

Her final accusation was that Harris would misrepresent herself as a candidate for change while actually being a “puppet of the failed establishment.” “Harris is going to lie that she is the candidate for change when she is just another puppet of the failed establishment,” Ingraham asserted.

Earlier on Monday, Harris had anticipated Trump’s debate performance, highlighting his history of false claims. “We should be prepared for the fact he’s probably going to speak a lot of untruth,” Harris told The Rickey Smiley Show.

“He tends to fight for himself—not for the American people. And I think that’s going to come out during the debate. I think he’s gonna lie.”

False and misleading claims in Trump vs Biden debate

During their debate on CNN, both President Joe Biden and Donald Trump made false and misleading claims, but Trump was notably less accurate. Trump made over 30 false statements, repeating previously debunked claims about issues such as abortion, tax policies, and the 2020 election results. He also introduced new inaccuracies, including incorrect assertions about the US budget and trade deficits. In contrast, Biden made at least nine false or misleading claims, including errors about Medicare policies, troop fatalities, and tax rates.
