WASHINGTON, DC: Lara Trump is calling out former President Joe Biden after recent reports suggesting he used an autopen to sign official documents. The allegations have sparked a heated online debate, with many questioning who might be controlling the machine.

On her podcast, ‘The Right View with Lara Trump,’ she dove into the issue, discussing the findings from the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project alongside Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow and political commentator Franklin Camargo.

While the use of an autopen during Joe Biden's presidency has sparked discussions, experts report that this practice is common among presidents, with even Donald Trump using one on occasion.

During a discussion with Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlow and political commentator Franklin Camargo about Joe Biden's autopen controversy, Lara Trump raised concerns about whether Biden’s use of the autopen invalidates some of the orders he signed.

Marlow, who disagreed with the idea that Biden was a “puppet” during his presidency, acknowledged that a president has a lot to sign but argued that using an autopen should be illegal.

He stated, "Isn’t the whole point of signing something that the person who signs it takes ownership over it? You don’t really know who controls the autopen."

Lara continued the conversation, criticizing the influence of unelected individuals in the White House and questioning if Biden’s autopen use could nullify decisions, such as the pardons granted near the end of his presidency.

"Maybe does it negate some of the pardons that were so handily given out there at the end of Biden’s time in office?" she asked.

She also stated, "But I think that this is the sort of thing that makes the American people even less trustworthy of our federal government and all the agencies."

Biden had issued pardons, including one for his son, Hunter Biden, in the final days of his term. Camargo added to the conversation, asking, "How are you going to trust the government when you don’t really know who is in charge?"

A Washington Examiner report clarified that the use of autopen is a longstanding practice, with many presidents over the past half-century employing the device to sign documents without doing so by hand, as per Irish Star.

What did reports say about Joe Biden's autopen use?

The Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project shared a report on X, claiming that former President Joe Biden used the same autopen signature for his executive orders.

They posted, "WHOEVER CONTROLLED THE AUTOPEN CONTROLLED THE PRESIDENCY," and provided further details along with several photo examples.

The team explained, "We gathered every document we could find with Biden's signature over the course of his presidency. All used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that the former President was dropping out of the race last year. Here is the autopen signature."

The Oversight Project posted three images of Biden’s signature, including two executive orders and the announcement he was exiting the 2024 race.

The signatures on the executive orders, one from 2022 and another from 2024, appeared identical, while the signature on the announcement about Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 race showed some variation.
