WASHINGTON, DC: Former co-chair of the Republican National Committee Lara Trump interviewed White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt on the first episode of her new Fox News show on Saturday, February 22.

Ahead of its release, the daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump opened up about her reading of Leavitt, who at the age of 27 is the youngest person ever to hold the office, reported the Irish Star.

As per the publication, 'My View with Lara Trump' is slated to air on weekends at 9 pm, replacing 'One Nation with Brian Kilmeade'. The other guests who are confirmed to appear in the initial episodes include Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Leavitt, who served as an assistant press secretary in Donald Trump's first term, has made her mark in the first month in her new role by being fiercely competitive with the press, adept at pushing his narrative, and dismissive of traditional media norms.

Commenting on the "fiery" demeanor that she presents in front of White House correspondents, Lara stated, "I didn't know all that was in there."

"You know, it's funny because I've known Karoline for a little over a year now," continued the 42-year-old wife of Eric Trump. "She was obviously the spokesperson for the Trump campaign. And I knew her as, you know, a colleague. And I was always very impressed with her."

“I see her in interviews and different moments and different spaces, but you really never know how someone will be until they take that podium. And she blew me away," Trump said.

Lara went on to add that looks can be deceiving when it comes to Leavitt, as "I didn't know all that (the attitude) was in there. She's absolutely incredible. And we're so proud of the job that she's doing.”
