Lara Trump reveals Trump has installed gold medallions ‘even in the shower’ at White House
WASHINGTON, DC: Lara Trump has offered a fresh glimpse inside President Donald Trump's increasingly personalized White House, revealing that the commander-in-chief has scattered gold medallions throughout the executive mansion - including inside a bathroom.
The president's daughter-in-law made the revelation during an Instagram video tour of the West Wing posted on Thursday, June 4.
Lara Trump says Trump has placed gold medallions throughout White House
During the tour, Lara Trump pointed out one of the small gold ornaments while standing in the White House colonnade.
"The president has an affinity for these medallions. They're all over the place," she said while highlighting a round decoration bearing the presidential seal beneath a large mirror.
The former Republican National Committee co-chair then suggested that the decorative pieces appear in even more unexpected locations.
"They're here, but they're even in the shower… if you happen to stay at the White House," she joked while smiling and throwing her hands into the air.
Since returning to the office, the president has dramatically reshaped parts of the White House complex.
His changes have included construction work around the East Wing, updates to the Oval Office, and several additions that reflect his preference for gilded decor.
Lara Trump's tour suggested that the gold medallions have quietly become another signature feature of the property.
Lara Trump praises Donald Trump's Rose Garden makeover
The video later moved to another area that has generated considerable attention: the Rose Garden.
Trump previously replaced sections of the garden with a patio-style setup featuring tables and umbrellas, creating a space that resembles outdoor areas at Mar-a-Lago.
Lara Trump made it clear she approves of the redesign.
"The 'Rose Garden' is far better without all the dirt," she said as she walked across the patio wearing high heels.
She then pointed to a practical reason she prefers the new layout.
"Look how beautiful this is," she said. "Previously, my shoes would've been in the mud."
Her comments offered a lighter perspective on one of the administration's most discussed renovation projects.
Lara Trump tours construction site and presidential displays
Earlier in the video, Lara Trump also visited the South Lawn, where workers continue assembling a large UFC arena that will host a series of cage matches later this month.
Standing near the construction site, she expressed admiration for the progress being made.
"I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with the work," she remarked.
"I feel like I'm a little bit of a construction manager here, but they know what to do."
The tour also included a stop at what Lara Trump described as the "Presidential Walk of Fame," a display featuring portraits of former presidents accompanied by plaques.
Some of the displays contain comments about Democratic presidents, while one frame that would typically feature former President Joe Biden instead contains an image of an autopen.
Lara Trump also highlighted a detail involving her father-in-law's portrait.
Unlike the other presidential displays, Trump's plaque does not list an ending year for his presidency. Instead, it simply reads: "2025 -."
The unusual plaque prompted Lara Trump to make a joke about her father-in-law's future.
"Who knows, it could really be anytime. Just kidding, don't freak out," she said.
She then added, "2025 to whenever he wants."
Although Lara Trump quickly framed the comment as a joke, the remark drew attention because it appeared to reference Trump's past comments suggesting he could seek another term beyond the traditional limits of the presidency.
