WASHINGTON, DC: Lara Trump, a prominent member of President Trump's inner circle and host of 'My View with Lara Trump', has signaled that a decisive breakthrough in the ongoing Persian Gulf conflict could be just hours away.

Appearing Saturday morning, May 20, on Fox News Channel’s 'Fox & Friends', she expressed immense optimism that a comprehensive solution could materialize very quickly following a pivotal, high-level national security assembly held inside the White House Situation Room on Friday afternoon.

"Obviously, the hope is that this wraps up very quickly. We are hoping, maybe in the next couple hours, we get a solution here," she disclosed.

Her comments gave an unprecedented glimpse into the administration's private expectations as delicate backchannel talks enter their final, high-stakes verification stage to halt the three-month war.

White House prioritizes national security over midterms

The prominent family adviser forcefully defended the president’s handling of the geopolitical standoff, emphasizing that the commander-in-chief is operating independently of domestic electoral cycles.

She noted that while coordinating a major military campaign directly ahead of critical congressional midterms is strategically complicated, Trump refuses to base defense operations on partisan benefit.

"I think this president wants to do what's right. Period," Lara Trump stated. "He has never looked at things, 'Well, this is politically advantageous, so let me do this.'"

"He looks at things as in is this right for America? Is this right for our future security? And that is 100% what you got with this Iran situation," she added.

Executive focuses on unyielding accountability benchmarks

The administration's immediate goal remains forcing Tehran to accept permanent compliance benchmarks.

Lara Trump emphasized that the persistent foreign policy challenge was kicked down the road by previous administrations until it landed directly in the president's lap, much like the historic operation to hold Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro accountable.

During an exclusive sit-down interview with the president set to air Saturday evening, Trump echoed this unyielding sentiment.

He acknowledged that while political strategists would typically wait until the hour after a midterm election concludes to address such a crisis, the narrow window to permanently ensure that Iran cannot develop a nuclear weapon required immediate, decisive action on his own terms.
