NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Laura Ingraham slammed the former Chief Medical Advisor to the President of the United States, Dr Anthony Fauci, during the opening monologue of her Fox News show, 'The Ingraham Angle,' on Tuesday, June 4.

The anchor's attack came a day after Fauci voluntarily appeared before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, and faced a brutal line of questioning from the Republicans.

According to NBC News, it was Fauci's first public testimony since stepping down from government office at the end of 2022.

Laura Ingraham's comments on Dr Anthony Fauci

"It just gets better and better," said the Fox News host, sharing her take on Fauci's congressional hearing. "Now, the truth is, we gave too much power to a power-hungry bureaucrat with a fancy title and almost entirely abandoned true scientific principles, the Constitution, and common sense."

"Now, beyond the social distancing farce, the truth that that guy abandoned or downplayed – cloth masks don't work. Viruses attenuate. Natural immunity is real. Mandating experimental shots that don't prevent transmission is unconscionable."

"Children need to be in school. China can't be trusted. You can't leave the liquor stores open and close the churches, Tony. And finally, we have the First Amendment. Ever heard of it?" she charged. "But even today, you sense that Fauci wishes there was more, not less, censorship."

She went on to talk about the ordeal that the American public went through and placed the blame for all of it squarely on the shoulders of Fauci through her monologue.

"We can never, and I mean never, let happen to this country again, what happened under him," Ingraham later added. "We're going to be paying for the Fauci effect for a generation, perhaps more. His imperiousness on the (Capitol) Hill today is simply further evidence that he was the wrong man at the wrong time, to help formulate a common-sense plan to deal with the Wuhan flu. And that's 'The Angle.'"
