NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Laura Ingraham claimed the presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump has only become more popular as a result of facing continuous attacks by the Democrats. She made the remarks during her monologue on the June 7 episode of 'The Ingraham Angle.'

While the anchor listed how incumbent Joe Biden and his administration have unsuccessfully attempted to "intimidate Trump supporters," the internet decried her view and trolled her.

Laura Ingraham's monologue slamming Democrats

"Five months from Election Day and the list of Democrat failures continues to grow by the day. Now it's Friday, so let's have some fun and quickly categorize them in chronological order," Ingraham stated on her show.

"First, the Biden team and their press homies thought they could use January 6 to intimidate Trump supporters and scare away all the independents," she continued. "Trump left office on January 20, if he didn't remember. And an insurrection against the US government without weapons – is that what it was? Okay, well, then of course, Democrats using January 6 thought a second impeachment trial would do him in, but few paid much attention."

"According to the Reuters/Ipsos poll, fewer than 1 in 5 said they watched multiple hours of the testimony, and most – 55 per cent – have seen just clips or no excerpts at all," noted the anchor. "Whoops. Then there were the efforts to remove Trump from the ballot. Well, we know where that all ended up. Overturned by the Supremes."

"Biden's great defenders of democracy were goose-egged, 9-0, and Trump, he only grew more powerful. Of course, they also ended up unleashing a barrage of indictments and civil suits lawfare, spending tens of millions of dollars in taxpayer money on cases in Georgia, DC, and New York that they thought would help Biden because Trump would be seen as a bad guy, a crook, and that he'd just end up bleeding support."

However, issues such as the inflation and border security crisis bore too heavy on the minds of voters, Ingraham claimed, and they were not distracted even by the hush money trial in which Trump was reportedly convicted.

"Biden's polls are still terrible, and Trump's still strong. And the more desperate the Democrats are, it turns out the dumber their ideas are getting," she added.

Internet trolls Laura Ingraham for claiming Biden losing despite 'lawfare' against Trump

"Pure Gaslighting," wrote a user over the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) responding to Ingraham's statements.

"Not in the real world!" exclaimed another.

"The polls do not seem to indicate that," noted a third.

"Stop trying to make authoritarianism happen, Laura," slammed a fourth user.

"Maybe for his cult. Overall, nope," jibed a fifth.
