Laura Loomer calls Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens Trump’s ‘biggest haters’ over Joe Kent interviews
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Laura Loomer lashed out on X, accusing podcasters Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens of aligning against President Trump by booking interviews with Joe Kent.
Kent had resigned as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center just hours earlier.
Laura Loomer targets Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens over Joe Kent interview row
Loomer wrote, "Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson have both announced they are interviewing Joe Kent this week. Kent resigned from his job as Director of the National Counter Terrorism Center less than 12 hours ago and he is already booked on the shows of 2 of the biggest Trump haters."
She pointed to the September 2025 assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, saying Kent had pushed a narrative of Israeli involvement in the killing "with zero evidence at all," sparking tensions between the FBI and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
"He was told to stop, because he was jeopardizing the FBI investigation with conspiracy theories," she stated.

You’ll…
"If Joe Kent wasn’t so obsessed with Jewish conspiracy theories, maybe he would have done his job and stopped the 4 attacks we have had in the US over the last 2 weeks. He allowed Americans to be killed by extremist groups. He should have spent more time doing his job and less time talking to Tucker and Candace," she fumed, adding, "Kent was so busy trying to make Israel the enemy, that he did nothing to stop the one who just murdered Americans on US soil."
She concluded by labeling the group a "national security threat" and calling for their removal. "Like I have said, these people are a national security threat," she said. "They want you to think our ally is an enemy while they disarm Americans in front of the actual Islamic enemy. It’s a sickness. Every single one of these people needs to be purged from the Trump admin."
Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens plan Joe Kent interviews after exit
Candace Owens directly announced her interview with Kent during episode 313 of her podcast.
She declared, "It gives me great pleasure to announce that Joe Kent, I'm going to be interviewing him this Thursday at the Catholics for Catholics event in DC. I'm looking forward to speaking to him, talking about the conscience and making these sorts of decisions, how we see ourselves, just the direction of travel, the way in which we are having these conversations."
"And this was an act of bravery. I'm so excited to be able to sit down with him," Owens added.
Tucker Carlson, described as a close friend of Kent, did not post a direct announcement on X but addressed the resignation in comments to the New York Times.
“Joe is the bravest man I know, and he can’t be dismissed as a nut,” Carlson said. “He’s leaving a job that gave him access to highest-level relevant intelligence. The neocons will now try to destroy him for that. He understands that and did it anyway.”
News outlets such as Axios reported the Trump administration was "bracing" for a Carlson interview with Kent.
Joe Kent resigns, cites Iran war and pressure claims
Joe Kent posted his resignation letter on X on March 17.
"After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran," he wrote. "Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby."
"It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America," he added.

Kent, a retired Green Beret, Gold Star husband, and longtime Trump supporter, argued that an "echo chamber" of misinformation from high-ranking Israeli officials and US journalists had influenced the administration, contradicting his view that Iran posed no immediate danger.
President Trump responded by calling Kent "a nice guy" but "weak on security," adding it was "a good thing that he’s out."
