Lewis Hamilton says Kim Kardashian is why he's a 'much happier man'

SILVERSTONE, UK: Lewis Hamilton has spoken warmly about his girlfriend Kim Kardashian after being asked about the secret behind his happiness during a fan event at Silverstone on Thursday, July 2.

The seven-time Formula One champion, who has reportedly been dating the reality TV star since early 2026, credited both Ferrari and Kardashian while reflecting on what has made this season different for him.

The racing star joined fellow drivers ahead of the British Grand Prix when broadcaster David Croft told him, "Lewis, on the track and off the track, you are a much happier man this year, and for everyone here, that is great to see.”

The remark drew cheers from the crowd before one fan asked Hamilton, "Is that because it's a fast car or a new girlfriend?"

Immediately after that, Croft added, "You know why he's asking? He just needs to know if Kimi needs two towels or not," appearing to refer to media personality Kim Kardashian, 45, who mistakenly used Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli's towel at the Monaco Grand Prix last month.

Lewis Hamilton credits Ferrari and Kim Kardashian

"Yeah, that's a good one," Hamilton replied before expressing his gratitude toward Ferrari and mentioning Kardashian.

He said, "Once you spend a year with this team, Ferrari is still the most iconic team of all time, and they've had a difficult period of time."

"It's such an amazing team and they've been so welcoming. The first year was obviously very tough but to finally see the hard work we've been putting in, it's finally get us back to where we want to be," the 41-year-old former Mercedes driver added.

Hamilton ended his remarks by saying, "And of course, of course it's Kim.”

Kim Kardashian, along with her sister Khloe Kardashian, supported the British racing driver as he competed in the F1 Monaco Grand Prix. Hamilton even gave the Skims founder a flying kiss and said during a post-race press conference, "It's amazing to have her come this weekend and have the support. But, you know, with my friends, incredible turnout, just overall, the people."

"It's amazing to have good people around you and good people supporting you and she does that for me every day," he added.

Before Kardashian, who was previously married to Kanye West, Hamilton's most high-profile relationship was with singer Nicole Scherzinger. The pair split in 2015 after an on-and-off relationship that lasted seven years.

Kardashian and West were married from 2014 to 2022. They share four children: North West, Saint West, Chicago West, and Psalm West.
