WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden on Friday, April 5, posted a video on social media platform X where he took jibes at former President Donald Trump accusing him of cutting Social Security for everyone.

Notably, in the video, the President is accompanied by the Senator from Vermont Bernie Sanders, and they are seen reacting to a video of Trump where the former President is seen talking about tax cuts.

Joe Biden posts video accusing Trump of cutting Social Security for everyone

The caption of the video read, "Here’s what Donald Trump says when he thinks you’re not watching: He says he’s going to cut taxes for his rich friends, all while cutting Social Security for everyone else. @BernieSanders and I are mad as hell about it, and together, we’re going to stop him."

In the video, Biden and Sanders are seen viewing a clip of Trump in which the former President said, "Cause you are all people that have a lot of money. I know 20 of you and you are rich as hell. We are going to give you tax cuts and pay off our debt."

Joe Biden said, "That's all you need to know about Donald Trump. When he thinks the cameras aren't on, he tells his rich friends 'we're going to give you tax cuts.'"

Moreover, Bernie Sanders added, "Can anybody in America imagine that at a time of massive income and wealth inequality? Billionaires are doing phenomenally well and he is going to give them huge tax breaks. And then at the same time, he's going to cut social security, medicare, and programs that our kids need."

Joe Biden further added, "This is his economic plan? That's what he wants to do? Cutting taxes for his friends and cutting social security for you? That makes me mad as hell quite frankly."

Sanders also said, "The hypocrisy is just outrageous. This is what he says to his billionaire friends, not quite what he's saying at his rallies."

Internet slams Joe Biden for his statement in the video

Several internet users took a jibe at Joe Biden and several even believed that the clip of Donald Trump which Biden played was edited.

A user wrote on X, "The last thing we need is to hear from lifelong politicians like Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden. They’re both rich but they’ve made all Americans poorer. Prices are up 19% under Biden and wages are down 4%. He’s also added over $7 trillion to our debt. Bidenomics is a failure."

A person also stated, "Speaking of cuts, why is this video chopped up and taken out of context?" whereas one added, "Biden is the one who billionaires support. We aren’t falling for your bull s**t anymore."

A person also wrote, "Why was there a jump in the video clip?" while one stated, "And the bad editing award goes to ---- the idiot tweeting for Biden! EVERYONE paying income taxes got a tax cut under Trump. EVERY American has much higher costs for EVERYTHING under Biden. Liars gonna lie."
