Lindsay Lohan’s stepmom Kate Lohan arrested after allegedly attacking ex-husband Michael Lohan
HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS: Tensions between Kate Lohan and Michael Lohan have once again spilled into the spotlight, this time ending in an arrest that has added another chapter to their already complicated history.
Kate Lohan, who is Lindsay Lohan’s stepmother, was taken into custody on Tuesday, April 14, following an alleged altercation with her estranged husband.
The incident, which reportedly took place at a home in Texas, quickly escalated and drew police attention.
Kate Lohan arrested after alleged altercation at home
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Kate was booked for assaulting a family or household member and was later taken to a Harris County jail. Her bond was set at $35,000.
Reports suggest that the incident began when Kate and Michael met to exchange their children.
What was supposed to be a routine interaction quickly turned tense.
Sources claim that Kate became upset after being woken up, which led to a heated argument between the two. The situation then escalated into a physical confrontation.
During the altercation, Kate allegedly threw punches, leaving Michael with a bloody nose.
At one point, she is also said to have gone into the kitchen and thrown a knife in his direction. He was not injured, as the object reportedly bounced off his chest.
Police arrived shortly after and escorted Kate away in handcuffs.
Conditions imposed after release
Following her arrest, court records indicated that Kate was intoxicated at the time of the incident.
As part of the conditions tied to her release, she will now be required to undergo mandatory alcohol testing.
In addition, she has been ordered to have no contact with Michael, with whom she shares two children, sons Landon and Logan.
At the time of reporting, a representative for Michael had not responded to requests for comment.
A history of legal troubles between Kate and Michael Lohan
This is not the first time the couple’s relationship has turned volatile. Kate was previously convicted in 2024 for assaulting a family member, adding context to the latest charge.
Their relationship has been marked by repeated conflicts over the years. In fact, just last year, Michael himself was arrested after an alleged incident involving Kate.
At that time, he was charged with continuous violence against the family after authorities located him outside one of Kate’s doctor’s appointments.
Following that incident, Kate reported that he had gotten physical with her days earlier.
These back-and-forth allegations have painted a picture of a deeply strained relationship that has struggled to stabilize.
Prior to Kate, Michael was married to Dina Lohan between 1985 and 2007. The couple shares four children, including actress Lindsay Lohan, Michael Jr., Aliana, and Dakota.
