LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Erin Andrews is speaking from the heart about something deeply personal: her ongoing journey to grow her family.

The longtime sportscaster recently opened up about continuing IVF at 47, and her words reflect both vulnerability and a quiet kind of determination that has defined her story so far.

During the April 14 episode of her podcast ‘Calm Down with Erin and Charissa,’ Andrews got candid with her co-host Charissa Thompson and opened up about the journey of continuing IVF at 47.

Erin Andrews says she’s not giving up on having another baby

For Andrews, the decision to keep going isn’t about ignoring reality, it’s about believing in possibility.

She openly acknowledged the challenges that come with age, especially when it comes to fertility.

“Even though I know that my age is not, with what history says, it's not great with producing eggs and the viability of your eggs,” she said honestly.

But that awareness hasn’t stopped her from holding on to hope.

“There's just some s*** in me that I'm like, ‘wait, watch me do it,’” she added, describing her mindset as almost a “weird addiction.”

Her story is also tied to her past health challenges.

Andrews was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2016 and underwent surgery, a moment that changed how she approached her future.

At the time, she had already frozen embryos with Stoll, whom she later married in 2017 after years of dating.

That decision became a key part of her fertility journey moving forward.

A long journey that already shaped her family

Andrews’ path to motherhood hasn’t been easy.

After years of trying, she and her husband, Jarret Stoll, welcomed their son, Mack, in July 2023 through a surrogate.

That moment came after a nine-year fertility journey filled with ups and downs, something her co-host was quick to acknowledge during their conversation.

“You wouldn't have Mack if you didn't have that tenacity,” Thompson told her. “There was plenty of roadblocks that got in the way of him, and you were like, ‘Nope I'm doing it.’”

Support from Charissa Thompson adds strength

Throughout the conversation, Thompson’s support stood out as a grounding force.

She reminded Andrews not only of what she’s been through, but also of what she’s already achieved.

“When the time comes for you to not be able to try for another baby, then I know you'll be at peace with it because you've tried everything,” Thompson said.

She also made it clear that Andrews has already built something meaningful.

“But like I've told you before, you've already won. You have a beautiful baby boy and he's about to be 3 years old and he's incredible,” Thompson said.

“I love your commitment to your family and wanting because most people would have given up a long time ago and that baby boy wouldn't have even been here,” she added.
