NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: While the Philadelphia Eagles celebrated their dominant victory at Super Bowl LIX against the Kansas City Chiefs by 40-22 in New Orleans on February 9, no one probably took the loss harder than Travis Kelce.
But amid the heartbreak, Kelce, 35, found an unexpected source of comfort, sports commentator Erin Andrews who told her co-host Fox Sports commentator Charissa Thompson, 42 that she crossed paths with the Chiefs tight end just moments after he emerged from the locker room following the game.

Erin Andrews shares emotional moment consoling Travis Kelce
On the February 11 episode of her 'Calm Down With Erin and Charissa' podcast, Erin Andrews revealed that she ran into Travis Kelce just as he was leaving the locker room, visibly devastated.
"The shot that they have of him coming out of the locker room, and now we know he was going up to the suite ... I was actually coming off the field and he was just walking out," she explained, per People.

"And I was like f**k it, and I just turned around and I walked up to him. I was like 'I don’t want to bug him' but I was like, ‘No, that’s our friend and this really sucks'."
At first, she considered letting him pass, but something at the moment made her step up.

"I just walked up to him and he stopped, and I gave him a big hug and I was just like, ‘I’m so sorry, I love you, I’m so sorry'," Andrews, 46, shared.
“They’re humans too, you know, this just in,” she added.
Travis Kelce skips post-game presser while Patrick Mahomes provides support
Travis Kelce, who had been gunning for a historic three-peat with the Chiefs, undoubtedly needed the support.
The Chiefs fell short of their quest for a historic three-peat, struggling to put points on the board until the fourth quarter.

A touchdown from DeAndre Hopkins finally pushed their score to 14-40, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.
While Travis Kelce skipped the post-game Super Bowl press conferences, quarterback Patrick Mahomes stepped up to speak, expressing unwavering confidence in his teammate.
"I’ll let Travis make that decision on his own," Mahomes, 29, said when asked if retirement could be in the cards for the tight end.

"He's given so much to this team and the NFL and been such a joy, not only for me to work with, but for people to watch, and he knows he still has a lot of football left in him and you can see it," he added.
But at least there’s a silver lining—Kelce now has more time to spend with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
The global pop icon, fresh off her Eras Tour, was in the stands cheering for Kelce, proving once again that she’s his biggest fan.
While the Chiefs were left reeling, the Eagles wasted no time basking in their victory.
Led by Saquon Barkley and Super Bowl LIX MVP Jalen Hurts, the team turned their celebration into a full-blown party—including shotgunning beers on 'The Tonight Show'.
