NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: People on the internet have gone wild after Kansas City Chiefs star Chris Jones made a gesture to Donald Trump ahead of the Super Bowl LIX.

The Republican leader made history on Sunday, February 9, by becoming the first sitting president to attend a Super Bowl and as he and his team arrived on the field before the start of the game, Jones also went there to greet him.

But instead of directly approaching the leader, the football defensive tackle patiently waited as Trump greeted the people present with a fist pump.

At first, Trump missed Jones’ presence but soon came back to shake hands with him.

Donald Trump's Kansas City Chiefs prediction falls flat

The 78-year-old said, as per Athlon Sports, “I guess you have to say that when a quarterback wins as much as he’s won, I have to go with Kansas City — I have to go with Kansas City. At the same time, Philadelphia is just fantastic.”

But the Eagles did not let the Chiefs take home a third consecutive Super Bowl win trophy as they went on to win the match 40-22.

The winning team’s coach Nick Sirianni said, “This is the ultimate team game. You can’t be great without the greatness of others. Great performance by everybody — offense, defense, special teams.”

“We didn’t really ever care what anyone thought about how we won, or their opinions. All we want to do is win,” he added.
