NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Travis Kelce had a forgetful Super Bowl on Sunday, February 9, as the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22 and failed to complete a three-peat.

Post the game, there have been rumors that Kelce might be thinking of hanging his boots, which the tight end cleared in a recent podcast. Now a new report has suggested that Travis Kelce could earn a staggering amount if he becomes an NFL analyst post-retirement, according to Daily Mail.

Report suggests Travis Kelce could make $10 million as NFL analyst

A recent report by Sports Illustrated floated the idea that the Kansas City Chiefs star could end up earning around $10 million if he took his talents to the booth.

The report further added that whichever network hires him won’t do it only for his work on a studio show. The network would be going into his business and everything that comes with it, including his love life with pop icon Taylor Swift, his successful podcast, and the top Q rating.

Interestingly, Kelce has often shown interest in working in media and has been involved on and off camera on many projects. Some of his endeavors are the horror series 'Grotesquerie', 'Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader', and has also hosted 'Saturday Night Live'.

Travis Kelce talks about potential retirement after Chiefs Super Bowl loss

Travis Kelce admitted that stepping away from football is a serious consideration during the latest episode of his podcast 'New Heights' with brother Jason Kelce.

He said during the podcast, "I know everybody wants to know whether or not I’m playing next year, and right now I’m just kicking everything down the road. I’m not making any crazy decisions yet."

The tight end added, "Right now, the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and my coaches."

He also talked about the physical toll of competing at the highest level being one of the main reasons behind his contemplation of retirement, per Daily Mail.

Travis shared, "The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and these Super Bowls means I’m playing an extra three games than everybody else in the league. That’s a lot of wear and tear on your body."

He added, "The process can be grueling—it can make you better, but it can also drive you crazy. And this year, it was kind of driving me crazy."

"When you feel yourself not having the success that you used to have, it’s a tough reality," the tight end mentioned.
