LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley did not approve of how Taylor Swift was treated by NFL fans at Super Bowl LIX on February 9 as she was cheering for her beau Travis Kelce.

During a SiriusXM interview with Howard Stern on Wednesday, February 12, Barkley called out the booing of the pop sensation during the championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Eagles, who ultimately took home this year’s trophy, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, as per Page Six.

He told Stern, “You know, I remember that they showed her on the jumbotron and she got booed. I don’t get it. I don’t get why she was getting hate there.”

The 28-year-old further noted that Swift was “there supporting her significant other and she’s made the game bigger. … I don’t get the slack that she’s getting.”

Barkley then went on to mention how the Grammy winner’s presence at the games will help the NFL get global recognition.

“In football, we’re all about, you know, how can we expand the game and make it more, you know, internationally and we’re traveling to Brazil and we’re traveling to Mexico, and you know, apparently we’re traveling to Australia soon,” he shared, before adding, “So we’re trying to expand the game and, you know, her being a part of it’s only helping that.”

Saquon Barkley has ‘no idea’ about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s future plan

The 71-year-old radio host also expressed his dismay at the booing of Taylor Swift before he asked Saquon Barkley, “From where you’re sitting, you think Travis Kelce’s gonna marry Taylor Swift or what do you think? What’s gonna happen there?”

Jimmy Kimmel did not waste time in hitting back as he said on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ Monday, “She didn’t get booed out of the stadium. Unlike you, she stayed for the whole game — and it was the Eagles fans who were booing her. But you’re right, it’s all about you," as per Billboard.
