Saquon Barkley barraged with hateful and vile comments after fans find out he has a White girlfriend

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: The Internet is often a space for people to freely express their opinion but, at times, some comments cross a line and become hurtful. Such was the case recently on X, where a discussion erupted over NFL star Saquon Barkley’s relationship with his White girlfriend, Anna Congdon. 

The couple, who met at Penn State in 2017, has been together ever since. In 2018, they joyfully announced the arrival of their first child and, three years later, welcomed their second child whom they named Saquon Barkley Jr. However, when they shared a heartwarming family moment before one of Saquon’s games, the couple was met with a wave of racist comments, according to Whiskey Riff.

Saquon Barkley, known for his love of family despite his high-profile career in football, recently shared a heartwarming moment with his children and girlfriend, Anna Congdon, that quickly went viral.

In a video posted online titled 'The pregame handshake between @saquon and his daughter, Jada 🥹💚', Barkley was seen greeting his family before heading back to the field.

In the clip, Barkley walked toward his family and picked up his young son, Saquon Jr.

Meanwhile, his daughter, Jada, excitedly screamed "Daddy!" as she held up a pink sign that read, "Look what I have for you." Barkley bent down, placing his son on the ground to get a closer look at the sign, reading it aloud, "Go Daddy." 

His girlfriend then entered the frame and the family shared a brief exchange. Jada, eager to show her love, handed her father a small card, which Barkley admired, saying, "Whoa, how cool." He then sweetly asked, "Can daddy get a kiss?" receiving kisses from both of his children while Jada sweetly told him, "I love you, Daddy." 

The touching moment ended with Barkley asking if Jada wanted to hold the card or have him take it, to which Anna responded, "She’s gonna hold it, right?" After sharing a final kiss with his girlfriend, Barkley went on to prepare for the game.

While the video captured a beautiful family moment, it was met with an outpouring of hurtful comments from some online users.

On seeing the adorable moment between Saquon Barkley and his girlfriend Anna Congdon before the game, Internet trolls turned it into a disgusting memory with their rude and racist comments.

One user commented, "White mothers and black hair….that poor child."

Another asked, "Why they always got a yt woman?" 

A disapproving user wrote, "Black men get rich head straight to the other side to spread the wealth, that must be in the contract."

Another sarcastically added, “A football player from Penn State procreating with a White woman. Shocker.”

One person slammed the girlfriend for not knowing how to braid the little girl's hair, "I was like why that lil girl hair not done then the mom walked up and it all made sense."

One more user said, "I was wondering why that baby’s hair was uncombed. Now it makes sense."

One user simply wrote, “Embarrassing."
