In 'The Eras Tour Book’s introduction, Taylor Swift revealed how the concept for the tour came to her while she was working on her Midnights album.

"I'll never forget the call when I explained the concept for the Eras Tour to my team," the 34-year-old singer wrote.

Swift decided to structure the tour around her albums, with each treated as a "chapter" with its unique world, music, and aesthetic.

The pop singer explained that her work on the re-recordings of her albums, known as "Taylor’s Versions," reignited her love for her music catalog.

This rediscovery inspired her to create a show that was not just a concert but a celebration of her career, designed for fans who have been with her from the beginning and new listeners alike.

She also described her commitment to maintaining peak health and fitness to meet the grueling demands of the tour.

While the Eras Tour is undoubtedly a testament to Swift's dedication, she credits her team for making it all possible.

"Thankfully, I'm surrounded by my incredible crew, band, singers, and dancers who all matched my dedication to the massive scale and challenges of this show," the 'Fortnight' singer shared in the book.

The tour, which began on March 17, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona, will conclude after 149 shows across five continents in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8, according to Daily Mail.
