WASHINGTON, DC: Sen. Lindsey Graham was grinning ear to ear Wednesday night after President Donald Trump delivered a no-holds-barred address to the nation on the war in Iran, declaring U.S. forces are delivering “swift, decisive, overwhelming victories” and vowing to “finish the job” with massive new strikes.

The hawkish South Carolina Republican, a longtime Trump ally, couldn’t contain his glee as he reacted live to the prime-time Oval Office speech.

“Take it, he's going to blow up everything they got. So, well done Mr President, well done to our military. I’m very happy tonight!” Graham beamed to Fox's Sean Hannity in a clip making the rounds on social media.

Trump says Iran war is 'nearing completion'

In his first national address since launching Operation Epic Fury alongside Israel more than a month ago, Trump painted a picture of total dominance.

“Tonight, Iran’s navy is gone. Their air force is in ruins. Their leaders, most of them terrorists, the regime they led, are now dead,” Trump told the nation. “Their command and control of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is being decimated as we speak.”

The President made clear the mission isn’t over yet, but victory is in sight. “Core strategic objectives are nearing completion,” he said.

“We’re going to hit them extremely hard over the next two to three weeks. We’re going to bring them back to the stone ages, where they belong," he added.

“We could just take the oil,” he said earlier in the day, referencing Iran’s vast reserves. “But you know, I’m not sure that the people in our country have the patience to do that, which is unfortunate.”

The remarks came amid spiking global oil prices and criticism from across the aisle from those who want an immediate pullout.

Graham is ecstatic about changes in the Middle East

Graham praised Trump's speech as exactly what the moment demanded.

The senator has taken credit for steering the President toward the operation, once bragging he used persuasion tactics to get Trump, 79, fully on board with a full-scale confrontation.

“When this regime goes down, we are going to have a new Middle East, and we are going to make a ton of money,” Graham told Fox News earlier this month.

Venezuela and Iran have 31 percent of the world’s oil reserves. We’re going to have a partnership with 31 percent of the known reserves. This is China’s nightmare. This is a good investment," he added.

Just days before Trump’s address, Graham posted that he had a “very good discussion” with the President and urged him to “wind down the war and wind up efforts for an historic peace deal,” but only after military objectives are met.

“I truly believe 2026 can be the year of ending a 2,000-year-long conflict,” he captioned a recent video. “Peace is only possible because of the courage of our men and women in uniform and the leadership of President Trump.”

The senator has also floated ambitious follow-ups, including seizing Iran’s key oil export hub on Kharg Island and even joking about “making Iran great again” once the “mullahs” are gone.
