Lip reader reveals Mike Tyson’s blunt response to Trump aide Natalie Harp
WASHINGTON, DC: Boxing legend Mike Tyson appeared to give Donald Trump aide Natalie Harp a blunt response during a walk across the White House South Lawn on October 9.
Lip reader Nicola Hickling suggested that Tyson responded sharply after Harp told him they needed to use another entrance.
The moment came after Tyson joined Trump at a midterm campaign rally in Syracuse, New York, where the former heavyweight champion publicly expressed support for the president.

Mike Tyson’s reported response to Natalie Harp during White House walk
Tyson was spotted alongside Harp and Energy Secretary Chris Wright as they walked with Trump across the South Lawn after returning from the New York rally.
According to Hickling, who analyzed the exchange for the Irish Star, Harp told Tyson, “We gotta go round and use the other door.”
Tyson allegedly replied, “I'm busy on the phone.” However, the words were interpreted by a lip reader and should not be treated as a confirmed transcript of the conversation.
Trump also made a comment about Tyson and the possibility of fighting as the group walked across the South Lawn.
Mike Tyson backs Donald Trump at Syracuse campaign rally
Before the White House encounter, Tyson had joined Trump at a campaign rally held at the Oncenter Convention Center in Syracuse, New York, on October 9.
The boxer appeared to support the president’s efforts to help local Republican candidates, including Bruce Blakeman, who is seeking the position of governor of New York.
Speaking to reporters before the journey, Tyson said, “I think Donald Trump will win.”
Trump later spotted the former heavyweight champion among the attendees and praised his boxing legacy. He also joked that Tyson was positioned beside Blakeman to provide him “a little protection.”
The president subsequently invited Tyson onto the stage, where the boxer addressed the crowd.
“I'm just happy to be up here with my president,” Tyson said.
Natalie Harp faces scrutiny over her public appearances
The incident comes amid criticism of Harp’s clothing choices during public appearances.
On September 22, the White House aide drew attention for wearing a short black skirt while attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The outfit sparked debate on social media, with some users questioning whether it was appropriate for the formal occasion.
Others pushed back against the criticism, arguing that attention should remain on the proceedings rather than Harp’s clothing.
In mid-August, Democratic strategist Greg Greene also weighed in on the larger discussion during an appearance on ‘The New Republic’s Daily Blast’ podcast.
Greene argued that people in public-facing positions should expect scrutiny.
He also referred to his own experience receiving criticism over social media content he created for Democrats and his work overseeing President Barack Obama’s partisan social media presence.
More recently, Harp appeared in a more covered-up outfit featuring a long black coat and a patterned midi dress reportedly priced at $345. She completed the look with beige heels and a black handbag.
