Jeremy Freeman evaluated the viral clip of the chat between Trump and Adams and highlighted the continuation of a warm relationship as the president-elect appeared to thank the NY mayor, per the outlet.

He told Daily Mail that Trump started out by saying "Oh Eric..." before his face was blocked for a moment by Mayor Adams. He continued by saying, "Not really. Thank you for all the...", before again being blocked from view.

The two shook hands and Trump lightly bumped the mayor on the arm several times during the friendly exchange at Madison Square Garden as they were flanked by Trump allies, including Elon Musk.
