Lip reader reveals what Donald Trump and Barack Obama discussed at Jimmy Carter's funeral
WASHINGTON, DC: Former president Barack Obama and President-elect Donald Trump seemed engrossed in a friendly chat as they waited for the state funeral to begin for former President Jimmy Carter.
The 39th POTUS died on December 29 at the age of 100 and was honored on January 9 at a funeral service at Washington National Cathedral in DC, as reported by The New York Post.
Now, a professional lip reader has decoded what Obama and his successor were probably discussing.
Barack Obama and Donald Trump probably discussed international agreements
Forensic lip reader Jeremy Freeman shared that the two politicians may have been talking about international agreements.
Freeman’s translation reportedly indicated that the incoming president told Obama, “I’ve pulled out of that. It’s the conditions. Can you imagine that?”
During his first term, Trump had pulled back from Obama’s 2015 Iran nuclear deal and the 2016 Paris Climate Agreement. However, it’s not clear if he was actually talking about those agreements.
Donald Trump reportedly asked Barack Obama to take time out to discuss something important
Then the camera showed the 44th president laughing as Donald Trump said, “And after, I will.”
The Republican leader also reportedly told Obama, “Call me at the foy after, yep,” as per Freeman.
His predecessor then probably said, “Can you just … it should be good,” as Trump added, “I can’t talk, we have to find a quiet place sometime. This is a matter of importance and we need to do this outside so that we can deal with it, certainly, today.”

In the video, the couple's daughter Amy Carter reads, “My mom spent most of her life in love with my dad. This is from a letter he wrote 75 years ago," as per Us Weekly.
Rosalynn died in 2023 at the age of 96. The letter began, “My darling, every time I have ever been away from you, I have been thrilled when I returned to discover just how wonderful you are. While I’m away I try to convince myself that you really are not, could not be, as sweet and beautiful as I remember.”
“But when I see you, I fall in love with you all over again,” it added.
