LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A so-called modern-day Nostradamus has warned that the future is not looking so great for the economy under Donald Trump's leadership.

Athos Salome—a Brazilian psychic reportedly famous for eerily accurate predictions (such as Covid-19 and Queen Elizabeth’s death)—is now sounding the alarm on President Trump’s “improper management” of the US economy.

'Living Nostradamus' has a chilling forecast

Athos Salome, 38, has reportedly predicted some of the world’s biggest events before they happened—earning him the nickname “The Living Nostradamus.” Now, his latest claim is that Trump’s return to the White House will bring “global economic instability.”

According to Salome, Trump’s leadership is steering the US into a volatile economic transformation, particularly in the tech and energy sectors. His alliances with Silicon Valley’s biggest names, such as Elon Musk, Tim Cook, and the executives of Microsoft and Amazon, are poised to reshape the global financial landscape.

Salome told the Daily Mail, “Since taking office, Trump has forged closer ties with tech giants, including Elon Musk (Tesla/SpaceX), Tim Cook (Apple), and leaders from Microsoft and Amazon. The government has taken a more flexible approach to regulation, accelerating the development of artificial intelligence and ensuring that big tech operates with fewer legal restrictions.”

The cozy relationship between Trump and tech tycoons has the potential to make these companies even more powerful, possibly surpassing entire national economies.

Apple, for example, already exceeds the GDP of countries like Germany, which reinforces the economic influence of the United States. However, this strategy is not without risks,” Salome warned. “The European Union is struggling to impose strict rules on artificial intelligence, while China continues to invest heavily in technology to rival American dominance.”

AI, energy and global unrest

Athos Salome’s prophecy suggests that America’s prioritization of AI could create an international backlash. Other nations may move to regulate or create their alternatives after feeling the pressure of US tech hegemony.

This tension, combined with Trump’s shift in energy policy, could lead to widespread economic instability.

“Economic revamp of the American oil industry remains a priority for President Trump throughout his new presidential term. The governmental support for renewable energy has declined because new regulations allow fossil fuels to emerge as primary power sources,” Salome said.

The psychic elaborated, “ExxonMobil and Chevron, together with other major sector companies, now possess greater influence, while government negotiations seek to raise domestic oil output in order to reduce import reliance. These changes in energy policy are causing increasing stress within the system. The strengthening energy capabilities of the United States create potential diplomatic issues with European nations who maintain their active pursuit of clean electrical sources.”

Salome predicts that Trump’s approach will lead to rising oil prices and further shake up the global financial order. “This move will create tensions in the global oil balance between the United States and Russia and Saudi Arabia who currently maintain top positions in global oil export,” he stated.

The power play and the fallout

Trump’s economic strategy seems to be as aggressive as his political rhetoric. Salome claims that Trump’s populist approach—centered on nationalism and conservative values—is a deliberate tactic to keep his voter base engaged.

“Populist discourse remains one of the main pillars of Trump’s political strategy. To keep his base loyal, he reinforces a nationalist and conservative narrative, often polarizing society with attacks on minorities and immigrants,” Salome explained. “His vice-presidential running mate, JD Vance, a former military officer and writer, has become a symbol of this rapprochement with the American working class.”

But according to Salome, this isn’t just politics and Trump is using division as a strategic tool.

He said leaders throughout history have used "internal conflicts" as a way of diverting focus from structural problems—and that this growing polarization could spark massive protests and social unrest in the years to come.

Trump vs BRICS

Athos Salome pointed out that Trump has taken a particularly aggressive stance against BRICS, the economic alliance consisting of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and several other nations.

New tariffs against China, trade disputes with Russia and India, and mounting tensions with US allies have only made things worse— yet Trump’s first international visit post-inauguration was to China.

Salome explained, “However, there is a contradiction: even with the harsh tone against Beijing, China was the US president’s first international destination after his inauguration, showing that the economic ties between the two powers are more complex than the political discourse suggests. At the same time, traditional US allies such as Japan, Germany, and South Korea are wary of Trump’s isolationist stance.”

If Salome’s vision comes true, these trade tensions could accelerate the formation of alternative economic blocs, weakening America’s global position over time.

The real question, according to him, is whether BRICS will seize this opportunity to challenge US dominance or whether Trump’s maneuvers will sow discord within the group itself.

“The outcome of this dispute could redefine the balance of world power in the coming decades,” Salome concluded.
