JUPITER, FLORIDA: Donald Trump Jr, 46, and his fiancee, Kimberly Guilfoyle, 55, are under fire for their display of an upside-down American flag at a Trump boat rally in Florida, over the weekend.

The former first son and his future wife appeared in a video shared to X (formerly Twitter), standing at the edge of a dock, enthusiastically waving to a flotilla of boats bearing Trump 2024 flags.

Among the fleet were several vessels proudly displaying the controversial upside-down American flag - a symbol traditionally used by sailors in dire distress, but now co-opted by some Donald Trump, 78, supporters to protest the current administration of President Joe Biden, 81, and deny the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election.

Previously Trump Jr displayed the upside-down flag in father's post-arrest warning

However, this isn’t the first time Donald Trump Jr. has used the upside-down flag as a symbol of protest.

In April 2023, following his father’s first arrest, he posted an image of the inverted flag on social media, captioning it with a dire warning: "Shocking, how much further we [have fallen than] anyone could have ever imagined. This is just the start of the slippery slope towards tyranny."

With the 2024 presidential election on the horizon, Trump Jr and his father have intensified their focus on Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.

Trump Jr recently took to X to accuse Walz of avoiding public debates, stating, "Just like his comrade Kamala Harris, Tim Walz is ducking from doing more debates because he's afraid of the American people seeing just how radical he truly is!!!"

Netizens blast Trump Jr and Guilfoyle over upside-down flag display

The display of an upside-down American flag by Donald Trump Jr and Kimberly Guilfoyle at a recent Trump boat rally has ignited a firestorm of criticism on social media.

"Flying the American flag upside-down has become a pro-Trump symbol. It is also used by elections deniers (guess who they are). It is deeply offensive and unpatriotic," tweeted a user.

"Floridian Trumpkins are a special type of weird," a second said.

"MAGA hates America," added a third.

"They hate any America where Trump isn't a dictator. most anti-American guys we got," tweeted a user.

"Cultaholics," simply wrote a user.

"Hey retard, do you have any idea what the upside down flag means? Well you could look at the current situation and say “wow, it sure seems (whoever’s) in control, they don’t seem to have America and it’s people as interests," read a tweet.

"Never seen so many low iq individuals in one place," penned another.

"They're just outing themselves as traitors," chimed a user.

"The upside down flags literally make me nauseous," claimed a user.

"That's disrespectful to the American flag," asserted another.
