MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Former aide to Melania Trump, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, has shed light on the former first lady's silence amid husband Donald Trump's criminal trial in Manhattan.

Following a period spanning over six weeks, a jury comprising New Yorkers will deliberate on whether Trump is guilty of falsifying business records in an attempt to conceal hush money payment to former adult film actress Stormy Daniels during his 2016 presidential bid.

Daniels alleges an affair with Trump dating back to 2006, an assertion vehemently refuted by the former president. He maintains his innocence, pleading not guilty to all allegations while attributing the case to political motivations.

Unveiling the facade behind Melania Trump's silence

Throughout the trial, Melania has notably refrained from making public statements or attending court sessions, a stance in stark contrast to the vocal support expressed by several Republican lawmakers and Trump's children, eldest sons Donald Jr and Eric and youngest daughter Tiffany

Wolkoff, who once shared a close bond with Melania before her departure from the White House in 2018, delved into the rationale behind the former first lady's silence, attributing it to a deliberate effort to to "avoid exposure."

"What you see is what you get. It is a facade of calm. Melania Trump isn't an enigma or a mystery. She is simply self-possessed, stoically guarded, and emotionally armored. Why? To avoid exposure," Wolkoff penned.

"To protect her cultivated image and respectable persona, she stays out of the spotlight by maintaining a low profile by choice—her silence is her suit of armor."

Stephanie Wolkoff shares insight into Melania Trump's survival tactics

Drawing parallels between Melania and her husband, Wolkoff suggests that both share a pragmatic approach in regard to their survival instincts.

"She knows exactly who she married and lives by the same principles," the former aide said. "She's a ruthless survivor and opportunist—willing to do whatever it takes to resort to any means necessary for self-preservation. She's mastered the art of complicity."

Wolkoff said that the former first lady is "always minimizing the impact of Donald's often despicable behavior," adding, "She will always stand by her man because she has mastered the ability to accept and compartmentalize all the aspects of her life with precision, ease, and control, always sticking to her talking points regarding her very existence."

Netizens give opinion on Melania Trump's disappearance during Donald Trump's trial

A user commented on Newsweek, "The Third Lady never shied away from exposure in the past... There's photographic, emphasis on the graphic, evidence..."

"Melania had better divorce Trump and get her prenup severance pay while Trump still has some money left. Time is running out Mel," said another.

"They are adding enemies all the time," read a comment.

"Maga Love!" mocked a commenter.

"Melaria is in favor of anything that might hasten Plump's demise. She also has to consider her ability to attract her next sponsor/victim," chimed another.
