Marc Anthony had Brooklyn Beckham place hands on Victoria's hips in 'very awkward' wedding dance: DJ
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz's wedding DJ, Fat Tony, has now spilled some beans about the dance that left the former “embarrassed”.
A public rift has been going on in the Beckham family, with Brooklyn slamming his famous parents on social media and also announcing that he does “not want to reconcile with my family.”
The 26-year-old former model even accused Victoria of hijacking “his first dance with his wife.”
DJ says there's 'no Spice Girl action' during wedding dance
Throwing light on that particular allegation, the DJ shared his view on ITV's ‘This Morning’ on Friday, January 23.
“I did the welcome party, then I did the wedding and a brunch on the Sunday, which was the most awkward part of it all because everything that had gone on on the actual wedding night was discussed among the guests the next morning,” he began.
The 60-year-old then clarified to the hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary that though Brooklyn claimed that his fashion designer mother danced "very inappropriately" on him, there was no s**tdropping, there was no black PVC catsuits, there was no Spice Girl action.”
DJ claims wedding dance timing was 'inappropriate'
Continuing further, he said, “The word inappropriate, why I said it was inappropriate as well, it was the timing.”
“Basically, Marc Anthony was performing on stage, he then called Brooklyn on to stage. Brooklyn went onto the stage and everyone was expecting it to be Nicola to go up and do the first dance. Marc Anthony asked 'the most beautifulest woman in the room' to come to the stage and he says, 'Victoria, come to the stage,’” Tony added.
He revealed that since Victoria was on stage instead of Nicola, it left Brooklyn “devastated,” while “Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out. Brooklyn is stuck there on stage.”
“And then they do this dance and Marc Anthony's going, 'Put your hands on your mother's hips.' It was a Latin thing. The whole situation was very awkward for everyone in the room,” Fat stated.
DJ supports Brooklyn Beckham for going public about family feud
However, the DJ also mentioned that whether the dance was "inappropriate" or not is up to Brooklyn.
“If he feels that it was inappropriate and awkward, it was inappropriate and awkward,” he noted.
Regarding Brooklyn posting his side online, Fat added, “It got to the point for him where he couldn't take this anymore and wanted to step back from it, and that was his way of doing closure.”
The aspiring chef had said in his statement that for his “entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family.”
“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out,” he claimed.
