WASHINGTON, DC: The Met Gala once again delivered its signature blend of glamour and high-fashion drama. To mark fashion’s biggest night, celebrities arrived in style at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the "Costume Art"-themed event on May 4.

With the spotlight on the human form, skin took center stage, sequins shimmered brightly, and headpieces reached new heights.

However, the most talked-about ensemble of the night didn’t walk the red carpet. Instead, it surfaced online.

Later, social media was flooded with a video of Marco Rubio appearing to walk up the Met Gala steps in a cream-colored dress resembling a padded, tufted chair from the White House Oval Office.

Marco Rubio dressed as the Oval Office Chair

In the now-viral clip, Marco Rubio appears on the red carpet wearing a body-hugging cream dress with soft, padded detailing that closely resembles a tufted presidential chair.

The outfit doesn’t just resemble furniture, it embodies it. The fabric features deep, button-like indentations, and the overall shape makes him look unusual, almost like a walking throne.

The video is clearly AI-generated, as Rubio was not present at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He is currently preparing for a diplomatic visit to the Vatican, as tensions continue between Donald Trump and Pope Leo.

Despite being AI-generated, the video captured attention for its hyper-realistic features, including Rubio’s face, expressions, and movements.

Reacting to the clip, one user said: “almost pulled a stomach muscle laughing!” “And all the ones that I've seen, I like that one, the best, that is hilarious,” another added.

“Straight outta live action Beauty and the Beast,” a third user wrote, while another said, “And all the ones that i've seen, I like that one, the best that is hilarious.”

Marco Rubio takes on yet another role as a wedding DJ

The AI-generated clip comes after Rubio recently went viral online for appearing behind a DJ console at a wedding.

In a separate video, the former Florida senator is seen pressing one earcup to his right ear while leaning over a laptop alongside another man, likely the event’s DJ.

At one point, with headphones still on, he appears fully focused and even gestures to increase the tempo.

The clip was originally shared on X by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino Jr., who wrote, “MOMENTS AGO, BEHIND THE SCENES—Our Great Secretary of State @MarcoRubio DJ’s weddings too! Here he is in action tonight at a family wedding… Let’s goooooo!!!”
