NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene was rebuked by netizens after she blamed the Democrats for the migrant crisis in the country on X (formerly Twitter).

While her online rant called for border security and mass deportation, the Georgia representative was reminded that the House failed to pass the bipartisan border deal because of opposition from some GOP members.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's tweet

Taking to the social media platform on February 20, Greene shared a video captioned, "Illegal migrants attacked NYPD officers again. Send them all the hell back." The accompanied footage showed a tussle between NYPD officers and a few migrants inside a New York City migrant shelter.

"This is the Democrat America," Greene began her tweet, before adding, "Illegal invaders who have no real desire to assimilate or pledge their allegiance to America attack law enforcement on the front lines. They weaponize Americas’s generosity against us and spit in our faces. Their loyalty lies with the violent, corrupt, war-torn country they fled and they always put America Last."

"Why? Because they’re not immigrants coming to America for a better life. They’re invaders trying to overthrow our country," Greene continued.

"Secure our border. Enforce the law. Deport them now!" she added.

Internet slams Marjorie Taylor Greene over her tweet

Netizens were quick to call out the congresswoman on her claims in the tweet.

"Let’s be really clear: Senate and House Republicans are tanking a border deal - endorsed by the Border Patrol Union! - in order to appease Trump," wrote a user, before adding, "Republicans are on another 2 week vacation. They could care less about the border."

"We had a chance to fix immigration the other day and one side walked away. Boohooo," stated another.

"It seems like y’all should’ve passed that bill or something!" jibed a third.

Another complained, "Sick of all this and sick of all the representatives doing NOTHING about it but tweet....🤬🤬"

"FAKE! Republicans negotiated a border security package that included gobs of GOP border goals and you and your cohorts in the House won’t take it up to make the border an on going mess and create a Trump campaign issue," expressed a fifth.

"Marj the MAGA mouthpiece, who refuses to pass the bill that would stop the flow of people crossing the border. She and her GQP colleagues want the chaos that puts people in danger so she can play politics with everyone's lives," echoed another.
