MTG ridiculed as clip of her saying people will vote for Donald Trump even if he's in jail resurfaces
WASHINGTON, DC: The "Republicans against Trump" X (formerly Twitter) account recently posted a clip from Piers Morgan and Marjorie Taylor Greene's November 2023 interview.
In the video, the ardent Donald Trump supporter is heard claiming that people are going to vote for the MAGA strongman even if he's in jail and she would do the same.
Question: If Trump is convicted and gets a jail sentence, will he be a president from prison?

Marjorie Taylor Greene declared she would vote for Donald Trump even if he's in jail
During the interview, Morgan asked Greene, "Is Donald Trump going to win the election?" to which she confidently replied, "Absolutely. He's blowing it out of the water. The primary is a joke and he is winning poll after poll on the general election."
The former president is seeking a nonconsecutive second term after losing the 2020 election to the incumbent President Joe Biden despite facing numerous criminal charges.
Morgan then delved into the legal issues surrounding Trump, asking, "And if he gets convicted of one of the myriad criminal offenses he's been charged with and is if, I'm not saying when, if, if he is convicted and he gets a jail sentence, will he be president from a prison cell?”
Greene replied, "Absolutely. People are going to vote for him even if he is in jail. I would vote for him even if he's in jail because we have communism in our country."
She elaborated, "We have the Biden administration that is using the Department of Justice like the campaign arm of the Biden campaign. It's, it's unbelievable. And Americans know this. That's why people that are independents, Democrats, many voters are switching over to supporting President Trump because they're seeing it for the first time in their lifetime."
On the topic of possible jail time, Trump is currently facing a criminal trial in his hush money case. He has been charged with 34 felony charges of falsification of business records to conceal a payment made to Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
Each of these charges carries a potential sentence of up to four years in prison and a fine of $5,000. The ex-POTUS has pled guilty to all charges.
While the fate of Trump lies on a New York jury, most believe he's unlikely to face incarceration considering a lack of any previous conviction, as per the BBC.
Marjorie Taylor Greene's unwavering loyalty to Donald Trump sparks trolling
One quipped, "Find someone who loves you like MTG loves Melania’s husband," and another said, "I’m guessing in today’s MAGA Republican world, going to prison is a badge of honor. Can you imagine a member of Congress talking like this?."
"That’s hysterically funny as if MTG is ever anything but uncensored," joked someone else, while a person added, "Spoken like a true cult member."
"She would vote for Trump no matter what," declared an individual. One more noted, "The fact that she's speaking of him in jail, even hypothetically, is interesting."
Another person sarcastically wrote, "'A president who’s in prison, sure, sounds great, can’t be anyone else qualified in the whole country' said today’s GOP."
