WASHINGTON, DC: The Colorado Supreme Court on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, reportedly ruled that former president Donald Trump's name has been excluded from the state's Republican presidential primary ballot over the January 6 Capitol riots under the “insurrection clause,” as per CBS News.

The aforementioned report also noted that “never before” has a court determined that a presidential candidate is disqualified under the clause, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, and has dubbed this a “landmark decision.”

Republican congresswoman and one of Trump’s biggest supporters Marjorie Taylor Greene then took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express her thoughts on this decision made by the Colorado Supreme Court.

After the news about Donald Trump being disqualified from the Colorado ballot broke out, congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene wrote, “The Democrats and 4 Colorado judges just stole the election away from the people of Colorado and robbed them of their right to vote for President Trump.”



 

She added, “This is an unprecedented First Amendment violation that must be struck down by the SCOTUS. This cannot be allowed to stand.”

Recently, people on the internet expressed shock when it came to Trump’s being removed from the Colorado ballot after it was reported by Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, however, there was a contrast in the responses as Greene faced backlash for supporting Trump as she claimed that this decision “stole the election.”

After Marjorie Taylor Greene shared her remarks on Donald Trump being removed from the Colorado ballot ahead of the 2024 Presidential elections, the internet brutally slammed the congresswoman.

One user wrote, “What happened to let the states decide.? All fun and games until it doesn’t go your way,” while another wrote, “Stay in your lane.”



 



 

“We should celebrate Colorado and throw a party,” wrote one user on X, while another said, “Oh be quiet lady. You are nothing!”



 



 

Greene continued to face backlash on the social media platform as one user wrote, “Cry harder! 🤭😭😭😭,” while another said, “You should be barred too…”
