LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Marjorie Taylor Greene, the Republican representative from Georgia, shared insights with CNN regarding a private gathering between former President Donald Trump and GOP members.

Greene effusively described Trump as "so sweet" for his friendly greeting towards her. In a conversation with CNN's Lauren Fox, Greene recounted Trump's apparent praise for House Speaker Mike Johnson's performance, coinciding with her failed attempt to remove him from his position.

Trump reportedly engaged in light-hearted banter during the meeting, touching on various topics such as his potential second term and abortion.

According to Greene, Trump's demeanor was jovial throughout, with the former president allegedly urging Johnson to adopt a tougher stance due to the narrow majority in the House.

Greene fondly referred to the encounter as "one of my favorite speeches," emphasizing the personal interaction she had with Trump. She recounted how he warmly addressed her by name, expressing concern in a playful manner about her behavior towards Speaker Johnson, to which she responded with a hesitant acknowledgment.

"He saw me in there and he was like, ‘Hello, Marjorie.’ He’s always so sweet and recognizes me and he said, ‘are you being nice?'” Greene told CNN. “He was joking, ‘Are you being nice to Speaker Johnson?’ And I said, ‘ehhhh,’ and he said, ‘okay, be nice to him,’ and I nodded my head.”

Adding to the narrative, Rep Matt Gaetz of Florida shared his perspective on the meeting, highlighting Trump's critique of aid allocated to Ukraine over funding for the military.

Gaetz's characterization of Trump's remarks portrayed a scene of direct confrontation with Speaker Johnson, which he deemed as remarkable.

"He says we should pay OUR TROOPS more instead of sending $60b to Ukraine,” Gaetz wrote. “Trump trashing the Ukraine Aid to [Speaker Johnson’s] face is so epic.”
