Mark Cuban reveals he ‘helped fund’ Robert F Kennedy Jr’s lawsuit to run for president
WASHINGTON, DC: Mark Cuban has stated that he assisted independent candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr in getting on the ballot in North Carolina, by contributing to the Center for Competitive Democracy, a group that supports political candidates running outside of the two-party system.
'"You know who helped pay for the lawsuit that got RFK Jr and Cornel West on the NC Ballot? Me. I help fund Voter Choice. I'm not a fan of the two-party system and Voter Choice helps get candidates on ballots," Cuban wrote on X on Monday, September 2.
"And we are good at it. His NC org came to us for help. We helped. No cost to them. So I don't feel bad that he can't get off the ballot," he added.

Mark Cuban responds to post about Robert Kennedy Jr's latest lawsuit
Mark Cuban responded to a post about Robert Kennedy Jr's latest lawsuit. In his subsequent posts, he highlighted that Kennedy Jr resigned a week after winning the legal battle in North Carolina to be included on the ballot, and argued that Kennedy Jr should have "dropped out sooner" if he wanted to avoid being included.
In a further response, Cuban wrote, "I don't give money to PACs or Candidates or the parties. I give money to an orgs that helps candidates get on the ballot to compete with the two big parties. I've been doing it for YEARS." [sic]
No one spent millions to take him off or keep him off. Lol. Or to put him on the ballot.

He should have dropped out sooner
The Center for Competitive Democracy confirmes Mark Cuban's statement
Newsweek received an email confirmation from the Center for Competitive Democracy stating that Mark Cuban is a donor.
The organization, which represented Kennedy Jr's party We the People and the Justice for All Party (nominating Dr Cornel West as its presidential candidate), successfully argued in legal proceedings that they should be placed on the North Carolina ballot.
Kennedy Jr, however, withdrew from the presidential contest on August 23 and filed a lawsuit on August 30 after the North Carolina State Board of Elections declined to remove his name from the ballots.
The Board stated that removing his name would be impractical because so many ballots had already been printed, a local newspaper The News & Observer reported.
Robert F Kennedy Jr shows support for Donald Trump in post-withdrawal speech
Robert F Kennedy Jr endorsed Donald Trump in his address following his withdrawal from the contest. According to a recent Newsweek article, if Trump wins the election in November, he might consider offering Kennedy Jr a position in his cabinet.
According to the outlet, some experts believe Trump could benefit from Kennedy Jr's exit from the presidential campaign, while others disagree.
Internet praises Mark Cuban for helping people get on the ballots
Despite Robert F Kennedy Jr's last-minute withdrawal from the race and endorsement of Donald Trump, Mark Cuban received praise from netizens for assisting people in getting on the ballot.
One X user tweeted, "@mcubanthank you. I really do appreciate that you are helping get people on ballots. Unfortunately people like @reidhoffman are dismissing your efforts and putting us in this position. I wish there was a way we could sue him and his pac for putting us down this path." [sic]
Another wrote, "Cannot agree more, a two-party system only leads to more polarization, more voter disenfranchisement, more negative campaigning, less policy innovation, and less authenticity in the positions of each candidate. I wish more donors and voters back third party candidates."

"Thank you Mark Cuban for helping in getting Kennedy and West on the ballot. Voters deserve more than two options," one user remarked while someone else said, "Mark, you doing the right thing and helping him get on the ballot is great. And I can appreciate you being frustrated when he decided to drop off. But if someone doesn’t want to run, they should be removed." [sic]
