MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Mark Hamill ignited social media fury after he called former President Donald Trump's ear bandage, seen during his grand entrance on the opening night of the Republican National Convention, "ludicrously oversized."

The GOP presidential nominee sustained an injury on his right ear after 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks opened fire while he was speaking at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13. Tragically, one of his supporters, Corey Comperatore, was killed while protecting his family, and two others were critically wounded during the assassination attempt.

Mark Hamill mocks 'first appearance' of Donald Trump's bandaged ear

Donald Trump appeared at the RNC on Monday, receiving thunderous applause and cheers from his supporters.

Despite the gravity of the situation, Mark Hamill, an outspoken liberal and harsh critic of the former president, found humor in the bandage covering the former president's ear.

The 'Star Wars' star took to X (formerly Twitter) to write, "1st APPEARANCE of ludicrously oversized ear bandage, apparently not needed prior to tonight," accompanied by ear and laughing emojis alongside a photo of Trump at the RNC.

Despite the near-fatal shooting on Saturday, Trump insisted on attending the convention as planned, arriving in Milwaukee on Sunday night.

On Monday, he entered the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee to Lee Greenwood singing 'God Bless the USA', and the ex-POTUS appeared visibly moved. He took his seat to listen to remarks from various "everyday Americans," who passionately argued why Trump should return to the White House.

One wrote, "He got shot and went golfing the next day. You lot curl in a ball if someone calls you the wrong pronouns. Levels," and another said, "Dude you’re straight up evil."

Comedian Tim Young retorted, "You ever get shot, Mark? Shut the f**k up."

"Not oversized whatsoever. Typically we have to wrap the entire head with gauze to get the pressure needed to properly dress an ear wound," pointed out an individual.

Not the Bee, the non-satire unit of Babylon Bee, remarked, "It’s so depressing how lame Luke Skywalker is in real life."

"Mark, when someone tries to shoot you in the head and barely misses killing someone behind you, you can wear whatever bandage you want. Deal?" stated one more.
