Donald Trump dodges questions on retracting Mark Robinson's endorsement

GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump dodged questions on whether he would retract his endorsement of Mark Robinson after the scandal surrounding the North Carolina Governor.

Replying to a question from a reporter after a press conference on Thursday, September 26, in New York City, Trump just said, "I don’t know the situation."

Following the bombshell report by CNN, the Trump camp did not directly address the allegations against Robinson in its statement but emphasized the importance of North Carolina in the presidential race, calling it a 'vital part' of Trump’s plan to win back the White House, per The Hill

Trump had high praise for Robinson earlier in 2024. In March, Trump compared Robinson to Martin Luther King and said to a crowd of supporters, "I told that to Mark. I said, I think you’re better than Martin Luther King. I think you are Martin Luther King times two."
