LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Mary Trump, the estranged niece of former President Donald Trump, recently made a surprising acknowledgment amidst the ongoing legal battles faced by her uncle.

According to Newsweek, in a recent episode of her show, 'The Nerd Avengers,' she highlighted that while she may strongly oppose many of his actions and policies, there's one area where Donald Trump undeniably shines: "exposing the weaknesses in our system."

Mary Trump says she 'could care less about Michael Cohen'

This revelation comes against the backdrop of the highly publicized criminal trial of the former president, who finds himself embroiled in a hush money case in New York.

It marks a historic moment as Trump becomes the first former president in US history to face trial in a criminal case.

The charges revolve around allegations of falsifying business records connected to payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels by Trump's former attorney, Michael Cohen, during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Mary Trump's remarks reflect a complex stance on the ongoing legal proceedings.

While acknowledging the significance of the trial, especially given the potential implications of a former president being convicted of criminal charges while seeking the presidency again, she seems to maintain a degree of detachment from the particulars of Cohen's testimony.

"I could care less about Michael Cohen," Mary Trump said on the show, adding that "I don't even care if he lies, quite honestly," in reference to his testimony.

Acknowledging Trump's talent for systemic exploration

Her evaluation of Donald Trump's ability to expose systemic vulnerabilities is noteworthy, particularly given her position as a vocal critic within his own family.

Despite her criticisms of her uncle's character and behavior, Mary Trump acknowledges his talent for exploiting weaknesses within the system.

"Quite honestly, the one thing you can give Donald Trump credit for is the extent to which he has been really good at exposing the weaknesses in our system and finding people who are more than willing to hop up and down," she said.

The ongoing trial has not only captured public attention but also divided political circles. While some Republican figures, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, have voiced staunch support for Trump, dismissing the trial as politically motivated, others, like Mary Trump, offer a more nuanced perspective.
