Donald Trump said women 'prefer' him over Ben Roethlisberger after meeting Stormy Daniels: Michael Cohen
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Michael Cohen, former attorney to Donald Trump, revealed details of a conversation where the former president allegedly boasted about his appeal to women compared to NFL player Ben Roethlisberger.
During Cohen's testimony against Trump in the hush money trial on Monday, May 13, the disgraced lawyer claimed the politician told him, "Women prefer Mr. Trump even over someone like 'Big Ben.'"
The NFL quarterback was reportedly present when Trump met adult film star Stormy Daniels, according to CNN.
Michael Cohen recalls discussing with Donald Trump to 'take care of' Stormy Daniels story
Offering a glimpse into the events surrounding the Daniels affair, Cohen became aware of the situation in 2011 when he tried to get 'thedirty.com' to remove blog content about the alleged story with the help of attorney Keith Davidson.
"After I received the information from Dylan Howard, I immediately went to Mr. Trump's office, and knocked on the door. Boss, I gotta speak to you," said Cohen.
The former lawyer said he then told the former president about the situation.
"I told him that one of the things that we need to do is obviously take care of it. He said, 'Absolutely. Do it, take care of it,'" claimed Cohen.
Michael Cohen says Stormy Daniels's story would have been 'catastrophic'
Speaking about the impact of Daniels' story on Trump's 2016 election campaign, Cohen said, "Catastrophic. This is horrible for the campaign."
Cohen also testified that National Enquirer editor, Dylan Howard, first informed him that Stormy Daniels was trying to sell her story about Trump.
Text exchanges between Cohen and Howard were presented, wherein the then-Trump lawyer discussed the formation of Resolution Consultants LLC to enable them to buy Daniels' life rights.

Cohen said the "business opportunity" mentioned in the text was the "acquisition of the life rights of Stormy Daniels."
During the testimony, Cohen reviewed an email he received from Howard saying he deleted the Radar story 'Donald Trump, Playboy Man', published in 2008 before AMI owned it.
Cohen then informed Trump that he had gotten the controversial story removed.
