WASHINGTON, DC: Mary Trump, niece of former president Donald Trump, has raised concerns about her uncle’s growing relationship with Elon Musk.

Mary, a trained psychologist and author of books on the Donald Trump family, referred to this partnership as a “devil’s bargain” that could threaten American democracy.

Mary Trump criticizes Donald Trump's history of transactional politics

In a recent blog post on her Substack, she discussed how Donald Trump’s history of trading influence for wealth has positioned him in a transactional relationship with Elon Musk, one that benefits both.

“Donald Trump has always been for sale," Mary said, adding, "It used to be shocking how many people were willing to prop him up in the hopes of profiting off his increasingly seamy ventures."

She pointed out that this behavior has been enabled by “a morally bankrupt Republican Party and our degraded corporate media.”

She listed examples of this pattern, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Arabia’s LIV Golf.

"Any person or entity, from Putin to Saudi Arabia’s LIV Golf, willing to throw Donald a few bucks for a licensing fee or a Trump Tower condo has gained access and influence,” Mary Trump stated in her post.

Elon Musk and Donald Trump's growing alliance

Mary Trump went on to discuss Elon Musk’s role in this dynamic, referring to him as the “world’s richest fascist” and describing their partnership as mutually beneficial.

“Given this decades-long pattern, it’s not surprising that the world’s richest fascist, South African jumping bean Elon Musk, would also be interested in purchasing a few shares in a man who is willing to sell whatever he can get his hands on—whether it’s steaks or American national security—because he values money more than anything,” she wrote, criticizing both Trump and Musk, Raw Story also noted.

In her post, Mary expressed concern over how Musk might gain from supporting her uncle’s political ambitions.

“In exchange for Donald’s willingness to throw Musk the keys to the federal government, Musk is throwing a considerable fortune, as well as the weight of Twitter’s influence, behind the Republican candidate,” she wrote, describing it as a “safe bet” for Musk.

According to her, Musk knows that if Trump is elected, “he’ll do anything Musk wants him to do.”

How much has Elon Musk spend on Donald Trump?

A New York Times report, also cited by Mary Trump in her blog post has also revealed that Elon Musk and Donald Trump communicate regularly.

The report further say Musk has already spent at least $140 million on America PAC, a political action committee supporting Trump.

The report suggested that this amount could increase to $500 million as Musk appears to be "all in" with Donald Trump.
